so uhh, I stayed to watch the sponsor spot, congratulations on that, the wallet and their other products actually look pretty class. And amazing reaction and commentary as always.
At the point in the story where the regular police are beating him up. It’s revealed that all the enemies had nano-machines inhibiting their fear and forcing them to attack you even when they know you’ll cut them down in seconds.
And Jetstream starts using their Nanos to broadcast their true thoughts. Kinda hard to fight q guy begging you to show mercy while his own body is forced to fight you.
He was getting wrecked because he was coming to terms with an idea that Sam implanted in him that he wasn't really killing evil, bad people who choose to fight for fucked up morals (like organ harvesting kids for profit and training their brains to be soldiers to create a new world war), but they were all actually poor guys who signed up with a private military company to survive or take care of their families and had their bodies chopped up and augmented and their feelings of pain and fear turned off so they can't even think twice about fighting Raiden to the death. Meanwhile Raiden was thinking he was being a "champion of justice" and "fighting to protect the weak", when in actuality...he was probably slaughtering the weak by the hundreds in his quest of revenge
Of course, the game undercuts its own message with the subtextual fact that every single person with a cyborg body is backed up and functionally immortal, including Raiden.
@@Vulgarth1 To be fair, being backed up just means they can replace you, not that you're still you. Playing the game helps you understand a simple yet VERY weird fact...most of the time he DOESN'T need to make stuff up :) especially with yakuza 0 video...almost everything he said was ON POINT with the game , which makes it funny af :)
So in the original game the police chief claps raiden so badly because Sam uses some hacking bullshit to let him hear all the thoughts of fear and pain that their cyborg bodies are suppressing and he feels too guilty to kill him for a few minutes.
Might be interesting to check out Civvie 11's video "Cruelty Squad is Wonderful and Depraved." It's one of the more strange games he's covered but he usually does videos on retro video games.
Hell if they decided to put family friendly stuff on a separate channel, Civvie 11's pro postal isn't bad either. (And DEFINITELY not family friendly.)
Congratulations on the sponsorship, guys! You've gone a long way since the day you've started. Here, take a seat and relax a bit. You deserve to rest a little. Edit: I was expecting an expert ads transition. You guys does a good job at advertising the wallet through live presentation! The blunder was pretty funny to see, and to actually get it working brings a smile to my face. I see a bright future for your ads placement.
Guy doing boris is rimmy downunder and you guys should check out his insane videos. He is basically an even better soviet womble and by that i mean he is australian soviet womble but higher production value
Metal Gear Rising is one of those games with excellent music, that's dynamic. The worse you do, the worse the music is. You do better the music gets louder. You do better it gets more instruments, you get even better the lyrics kick in. You do perfectly, the battle has the full song, with lyrics the whole time, and the fight perfectly matches the length of the song. Between that and the over the top action, you feel like you're a god damn cyborg ninja!
There was no dynamic music in MGR based on how well you perform in a fight. It was just when you move to "LET'S GET DANGEROUS" phase of a fight - it just switches from pure Instrumental to version with Vocals to signify that battle reached its boiling point. And when final strike QTE scene starts it fast forwards to the most EPIC part of the current battle track while cutscene timing is such that it matches with the music perfectly for maximum awesomeness. Best example would be Sundowner fight - which starts with Instrumental version of his theme song while he has his exploding shields - The Defence Phase, 1st half of the battle - once you cut off all of them off he switches from double swords to Giant Scissors and goes into - The Berserk Phase, 2nd part of the battle and Vocals kick in. Or Mistral fight where Vocals appear only during final 3rd part of the fight in the middle of the burning factory. And then during final strike as Raiden dodges her attacks and slices open Liquid Oxygen tank behind her, freezes her and... - song fast forwards to its final part (which is right before the song usually starts repeating itself) and ends on... "For all of my life A stranger I remain A stranger I remain A stranger I remain" ...as Raiden smashes frozen Mistral into pieces. Last accords. END.
How about the pause button also rewinds 5 seconds? So many jokes and stuff have been missed due to pausing over many videos, I feel the need to finally bring it up. Love the content btw, guys. Insights aprreciated.
Having never played the MGS games, I thought Rising must have been an outlier with how overpowered and anime they show the cyborgs to be. Then I saw the scene from MGS 4 where Raiden break dances two giant robots to death at the same time like it's fucking Devil May Cry, and I realized "No, the whole series is just bananas"
Max0r recently said in an interview that (at least with his Elden Ring videos) he sits down and starts working on the video and after about 10 hours of editing he can finish about 30 to 45 secinds of footage.
Spines being filled with "electrolytes" sorta makes sense in a weird way. The spine is a core part of the human nervous system, which involves sending electric signals to the brain. There's a lot of nerves in the spine, so of course there'd be some electricity in there.
Both his story lines are actually extremely close to the actual game, and not just because he says what the plot is. Even the funny made up dialog isn't far off.
The videos are funny whether you know what actually happens in the game or not. But, IMO, I think knowing what happens in the games makes the videos much more funnier.
