I operated this ride back in 1987 . It was my 1 season on bottons . I went onto run the pirate ship and paratrooper plus ghost train and the arcades . Great fun times ❤😊
***** Did you think that it was better than Rockin Roller? I never rode it unfortunately, although I had unknowingly rode a roller coaster exactly like it at Wicksteed Park 8 years later.
I enjoyed it, not really sure if it was better, for a spinning mouse roller coaster I think Rockin Roller is one of the better ones. I do have some nice footage of it coming soon ! :-)
I went here so many times I went with my dad and my brother's sister and mum and I saw my dad on the vid and he passed away when I was 4 and my brother told me about tjis so I've been looking for this for like 30 mins just so see him
I did have a ride on the big wheel but I was so busy filming the Pleasure Beach I didn't actually look to see if I could see Odyssey, sorry ... but I do have some video of it including some on-ride when I get round to editing it.
The Big Apple, a.k.a. The Maggot a.k.a. The Slug, a.k.a. The Becky-Lee Express (named after the kids of the 2 operators' girlfriends at the time , lol) I bet my name is still in that mushroom :P
Yeah it'll be cool cheers :) Btw they used to have two other extreme (ish) rides in the mid 90s: Tri Star in front of the Waltzer, Sky Master where the Twister is sometimes placed.
No but I used to visit it on holiday once a year with family, also watched 90s videos of it when I was a kid - I never got to see the Tri Star and SkyMaster but got to ride the older faster Flying Saucer wheel and Paratrooper.

Yes I remember it well, It's a great shame Camelot is no longer around ! :-(
Yeah I used to love camalot :(
Had many a good time on this ride :). If you touched the supports in the apple it would give you an almighty shock!
I've been on this ride it was so fun
+Abbie Shields glad you enjoy it Abbie ! :-)
One for the Big Apple Fans !
My mum took me on this instead of the Storm roller coaster as I was too little to ride the Storm back when I was 3 and 4 years old.
Oh yeah, I remember Storm ! :-)

Out of interest, can you see Odyssey from the top of the wheel?

I miss the Old Ferris Wheel and Paratrooper of this park. Orbiter (Extreme) was a good addition in 2010 though.
Yeah, it's a shame rides disappear but I'm glad you like the orbiter, I have some nice evening video of it when I finally manage to edit it :-)
Yeah it'll be cool cheers :)

No but I used to visit it on holiday once a year with family, also watched 90s videos of it when I was a kid - I never got to see the Tri Star and SkyMaster but got to ride the older faster Flying Saucer wheel and Paratrooper.
