The shins attempt is shit. It's like a rod Stewart song. The Postal service synth use kind of kills it. I'm not a fan of that style. The open letter Styrofoam song is also better with just ben and a guitar. Synth makes it abit pretentious and campy. Which totally detracts from the narrative
ok thats true. im partly basing it off who the guy is, i know many musicians if they can afford it prefer gibson for live acoustic sound. i have seen this gibson im 90 percent sure its a gibson
when he smiles at the crowd's singing my stomach WHOOSH WHOOSH with happiness and I get tingles all over my back when the crowd goes BA BA BA BA
wow. i just got teared up. this is adorable. its like Ben Gibbard and the crowd are friends.
that's a great crowd...doing backing vocals for him
love how the song is so jolly, but in reality this song is about nuclear devestaion :O
true that! perfect
i like this song😇
I love how the audience is making all the little extra noises. haha
1:07 made me smile hahaha that's awesome
MAGICAL!
D with an F# on the low E and then a G and he goes between those
then an E minor
Hilarious!
Ok I looked it up Gibson J-45 Brown.
All of his electrics are made by G&L
It's quite different without a synth... Great, of course, but definitely different.
Adam Brown you should try the shins version 👌🏻 lol this comment is a decade old
