Great history lesson. I've not been to Sudbury but passed through that area on a cross-Canada drive 30 years ago this year. We wanted to avoid southern Ontario and all the bigger cities so we drove the northern route and came down by Thunder Bay before moving on to Manitoba and the west. I remember all the French communities up there and was surprised that there were store-fronts and businesses advertising in French in what I always thought was English Ontario. I am always interested in history and like that you showed vintage clips and photos including the ice-harvesting from the past. It is amazing to think that before mechanical refrigeration, ice was THE way to keep food from spoiling. Great introduction showing the huge nickel, etc. I've been to places that have HUge Axes, the world's largest hockey stick, a giant Perogie, giant Moose and more oversized landmarks deliniating the history of that particular area. Sudbury was immortilized in Stompin' Toms. "Sudbury Saturday Night"..."there'll be no talk of Inco..." I think every Canadian can sing a few bars from that song. Sudbury sounds like a great place! I love the video, Doug. Great Job!
