- Established in 1222 in Padua in Northern Italy, this is one of the world’s oldest universities. Galileo Galilei was one of its professors. Today, it has over 65,000 students and more than 30 departments. The designer of the first commercial microprocessor, Federico Faggin, is among its most famous graduates. Innumerable conferences and congresses demonstrate its importance in scholarly and scientific research at an international level.
I wanted to know more about the University of Padova but this video mostly spoke about the city.

Yeah..you will land at Marco Polo Airporto in Venice...where you can take a 20min bus ride to Venezia Mestre station....and then a 1/2hr train ride to Padua

how has your experience been so far?

@@KurbonovD If you are going there to study engineering, I don't recommend it. In my experience (I am Italian and I study there) they treat students from that department pretty badly, then I don't know for others how things are. Some examples: overcrowded classrooms, teachers who shut down course websites to disadvantage students who are behind in their studies (this does not happen for students in other departments, e.g. physics/math), small, claustrophobic bathrooms, bad desks (too narrow, fixed wooden seats that make your back ache). The IT labs have computers with decade-old Xeon processors, and pre-war nVidia Quadro graphics cards. Although their educational platform is called "elearning," they are trying to force students into face-to-face classes by deliberately removing digital video lectures from the Covid period. They keep the name high because it is famous but in my opinion it is a rather poor university as services, even the student canteens sometimes do not provide meals. Not to mention the cost of housing and the unreliability of trains in the country. I go there by bus.
