This is really a great idea. A lot of people have never been shown how to do casual dancing and are very self-conscious.
Yes.
Me.
😂
And me
yep, that's me. I've gone to punk and ska shows my whole life, but all you need to do is run around like an idiot, jump, and skank. But I'm going to a funk show soon and have no idea what to do with my body 💀
Dance like this very easy ... Not like shuffle dance ...
Nowadays not there dance better shuffle dance ... Simple dance like this very easy do it but easy forgettted .... shuffle dance best ever seen until now ua-cam.com/users/shortsJIcpQDNUm_o?si=wwWRPgBubIOCbx1Q
One time while visiting in West Africa, a Ghanaian friend told me "white people dance to the melody of a song and Black people dance to the drum." And suddenly, as an awkward white girl, dancing finally made sense to me.
hmmm.......
Being able to dance to the beat comes to many of us naturally and this ability has nothing to do with colour of one’s skin!
😂. Lol. 😂
@@bickyroo obviously
That makes zero sense.
Been dancing competitively my whole life, and I was always naturally talented but rarely won competitions. Then I went to dance college and something flipped like a switch in my head. The college didn't teach me much new physically, but the confidence I gained allowed me to dance confidently and ENJOY what I was doing. Confidence is key, and will literally make you look like a completely different person!
Close your eyes, and just MOVE. Do what your body wants you to do. You will only look awkward, if you feel awkward!
Yeeeees!!!!!
When I studied "not to see people " around me,and each move was based on pleasure in my body I put attention that people (not only woman)got excited of my dance....
This is like revelation of your.....soul,body,wishes.....
And somehow we,human beings love to see it in others!!!!❤
One more analogy:
Some woman are given great bodies. But they feel squeezed and try to hide their bodies (hunch up their shoulders nobody see their beautiful breast, shorten steps while walking...etc)....
At the same time those woman(forgive me ladies saying this)who was not given that gift (to have gorgeous body and face...)EXPOSE THEIR BODIES.
They dont hunch up their shoulders ,they keep theirs chin up and they walk free...
!
They don't hide their bodies..!!!
They let you watch!!!!!...
And this is what magnetizes your eyes. 😍
This is the beauty....!
Different aura presents around such ladies!!!!
Such behavior attracts, excites.....
And this is what should happen while dancing!!!!.....
Let people watch you....!...
My sister took dance lessons for 10 years, all the way through high school. She also has natural rhythm. There are dance moves that may seem easy but honestly only an experienced person with lots of practice and training can do them right. You've got that edge.
"You will only look awkward, if you feel awkward" 10/10 quote 🔥 🔥 😎
Try not to dance like it’s a competition or something.
This woman is an excellent Teacher with great tips on how to succeed at dancing.
Just for fun, it you would like to see the fastest way to fail, just watch someone with no rhythm while you're dancing and you're guaranteed to be thrown off beat. 😅
Disco era here. Afraid to dance. Buddy asked me what sports I liked. Tennis, golf, skiing. He said do that on the dance floor. Something clicked, after a time smoothed it out. Now I’ve been asked to teach.
THIS is what I've been looking for to get myself started dancing for exercise! I'm learning to Shuffle dance, but I really need to be able to stand in one place and dance until I regain my balance (suffered a devastating injury that messed me up hugely). This will do very nicely, and I'll still get some real dance movements in and can have fun with it.
Hope you are recovering as best as possible ❤!
This is exactly the type of video that makes me regret I grew up without the Internet. Very good!!!
I am 63 and learned how to dance growing up and watching American Bandstand and Soul Train every Saturday while I did my chores. My brothers never learned how to dance. A lot of white boys did not know how to dance back then, only slow dance. They did not have saturday chores like me and my sisters did so they were always outside playing in the neighborhood.
Your dancing is beautiful but let it not be unsaid that your perfect POSTURE is a big element of it. Strong back muscles, relaxed but strong everything, neck, arms, all.
An open mind to learn new things is the spice of life! So glad you are sharing this with us.
Fabulous. Accessible dance moves anyone can master and feel confident with.
Very easy & modern moves for beginners! Thanks very much!
I have been needing a refresher course. It's been so long since I've danced socially and just watching this helped me regain my confidence again to get out there on that dance floor!😄
Love that!
I studied Classical Ballet for decades. I can March, Dance and I have Rhythm. Sadly, Parkinson’s is stealing body. HOW CAN I DANCE IN A WHEELCHAIR or WALKER? I LOVE dancing, any form. I need to get off the extra weight I gained after two years stuck in a wheelchair. So I’ll be practicing at home. My plan is when I regain my strength I’ll locate a ballroom or dance classes. I’m 62. It REALLY is the decades of formal ballet lessons which help me FIGHT the Parkinson’s tremors. I want to learn Bachata and the Tango. Basic Bachata I can tape squares on my floor and memorize the pattern of steps. I’m so happy to have found your channel! 🎉🎉
Thanks so much,Monica for your work!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you that was very helpful!
Having rhythm is key!
I told my son (20) he should learn to dance, that I'd love to have his age and be able to learn to dance really well. He said "not these days dad, we all get together and just jump around all over the place. You'd look pretty out of place dancing like you know how to". It was a bit shocking.
Great demo and clear instructions. Good job. Very helpful for a lot of people.
I'm 68 years old and still going to raves, something I see a lot in dancing, people "thinking" what move they are going to do next...DON'T, feel the music if you try to think you'll get out of the beat; most of the party music is in a tempo of 4, if it's going to fast, divide in 2 or 4 (1in 2 or 1 in 4) and don't think to much or you miss the beat, let your body do the thinking.
Wow! You make it look so easy when you break it down. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I love this!
The rythmn the beat I need all of them
Please continue to teach video like that. People like myself need them
I'm not only copying your moves, but your outfit immediately as well. Thanks 🙌🫶
Nice 😁
I love dancing , been struggling with the gym to stay fit, now this is a perfect alternative for me, I dance as I exercise . Perfect.
I've watched three videos and this is awesome. I feel like I can now dance. I was the stiff "before" examples. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much! This is a great video!
She's a good instructor. Making dancing easy and fun 😊

It's my friends wedding this April and I've recommended your brand for like everything!! Because I use your products especially lipsticks and I'm in love with them!!
Thanks for all the efforts you put in your products our buisness woman, our lady boss and wonder woman ❤🎉
I love your video, I suppose I use to think a person either had natural rythmn or they did not. Its great to know that one can learn to have rythmn. Thank you!!
Absolutely! Check out rhythm playlist on my channel: ua-cam.com/video/HlATV9KdMN4/v-deo.html
I have no natural rhythm. My mom, dad and sister had

More practice time with each step and different music would be great! Thank you for what you do!
there will be more 🙏
Makes so much sense
Thank you, love ❤😊
Great dancer checkin in for a refresh
I do not have a rhythmic bone in my body, but I recently started going to ecstatic dancing events and LOVE it because you’re dancing by yourself and in your own world…😊
And there no “right” or “wrong” way, you just have to “feel” the music and move and allow your body to do what it feels like.
Thank you 💜☀️
Awesome videos! I subscribed immediately. I live in the middle of nowhere, but I can at least dance around the house a bit. So fun, thanks!
Yes. You're a great mover. But what sells me is your before and after students. Just WOW!!
They are amazing!! Couldn't agree more 😊
Wow. When you were doing them without the music, I thought, OK, this just looks dumb. But as soon as you did them with the music, it looked amazing!!! Crazy.
Great moves and so easy! :)
thanks! btw people used to call me wiewiora 😀
Wedding season help!
Thanku love this
139 steps ❤108bmp .😊thanks 😊 you for today 24.5.23.take care .
This is excellent! Thanks!
I wish I knew this in the 70s. I was self conscious and stiff.
Looks very nice cool
Looks easy when she does it.... This is where mums always come in handy as dance partners 🕺💃
thank you so much! ive been watching your videos and i think they helped me a lot. i am very conscious about what people might think of my dancing and i feel i look awkward when dancing because im too thin. i applied your tips plus little alcohol and ive been having fun dancing in clubs. 😊
Eat more then
Alcohol always helps!💃🕺
That's sad😢 don't worry what other people think, beauty comes from the inside. Try not to think like that, enjoy yourself and relax and have fun dancing. Dancing should make you feel happy and when you are happy you smile and that's what people notice more, a happy smiling person. Wishing you all the best ❤
Love the video. Can you dance to “doin the pigeon” from Sesame Street with the exact pants and shoes you’re wearing in this video?
Great teaching
I love this one the I pray one day I can become a dancer ☺️
What an excellent idea! Good video!
Glad you liked it!
Great Video!!!! So natural!
Thank you ☺️
I did a wonderful African drumming yoga class a few years ago. We shut our eyes and moved to a drum beat as if we were the various elements, ie water, air, fire and earth. It was brilliant fun and I was totally not concerned with my inability to dance. Also great exercise.
Wow! Great tips!
You’re such a good dancer.
I love to casual dance, and have done so for decades...well, since the old 'sock hop' days at school. Over the years I've gotten better, but have gotten to an age where the only time older adults dance, are at weddings! Well, unfortunately both my daughters are married now, as are most of my friends kids, so it's seldom I get to dance any more, but LOVE music with a dance beat (I like many genre's of music, and my Music folder has over 4500 songs) thus, I dance on my own, when nobody is home! I dance much like the instructor here, and find I use my hips quite a bit, the odd spin, and my hand/arms similar to what she showed here. One tip, at least for me, is to get 'into' the music, as if you are truly listening to the beat, (at least for me) my body will follow the beat. As mentioned, the odd time a song will slow...then speed up, throwing the balance off a bit, but you will get right into it again if your concentrating on the beat or tempo.
❤thank you
Me too like ur teaching...😍😍😍😍
I love your channel! Thank you very much, you are the best dance teacher I have ever seen and I'm 62
Thank you so much ☺️
Great❤
Another video that blows my mind. I never thought that dancing wouldn't come naturally to someone, it seems so basic and simple to me, how it is not?
Moving with any type of music comes naturally to me now but this came about only after some dabbling with psychedelics in my 30s. Prior to that, I just didn't feel the music.
It was like it didn't make sense to me on a core level and I couldn't connect with it at all. Because of this, I was also very self-conscious, which of course only made it ten times worse. The best way I can describe it is that it felt a bit like attempting to speak in a foreign language after only having heard other people talk it but without knowing how to even separate the words, let alone know what any of them meant. Just 100% awkward and unnatural, lol.
I saw some doing these moves recently and they consider themselves a celebrity. I recognized the moves right away!
Nice! Who was it? 😊
Wow!!!!
Good I love you 💜
Such a basic and necessary video. I wish I this to watch when I was young.
Excellent video
Glad you liked it 😊
@getdance I need to know where those jeans are from please!
Wow❤
Thank you!
Great video! Going home and trying these loves
Thanks for watching :)
When in doubt .. just bounce your knees. Never ever flail your arms unless sure of your skills 🤣
😂
😂😂😂
I would love to learn more.
Hi 🙂 access my free training here: www.getdanceonline.com/masterclass
As a nice guy I sometimes have to dance differently when the dance floor is crowded. I have to keep my moves in close so i dont elbow someone in the eye. Good thing is that it is not easy to see peoples feet so you can just move upper body ...lol Love you videos!
« If you struggle with rhythm as well as coordination” erm excuse me are you talking to me? 😂
I can dance but SO many people can't! Great video!!
What a brilliant idea 😁 never occurred to me that if you weren't taught how to dance, how might you know.... I can't sing ... I can, but I can't I wish I could find a video like this for singing
🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻😁😁 🕺🏻 💃 👌🏻
I think for the most part people weren’t taught to dance. Some are just more interested in music and or rhythmically inclined. I was never taught how to dance and I was more stiff when I was younger but if the music moves me I can do anything. The problem is lots of music does nothing for me 😂
I think just like this teaches you how to “dance” in a social setting, not how to become good at dancing, I don’t know if you could learn to be actually good at singing without natural talent 🤷♀️. Maybe you could learn to hold a tune, but you can’t just be shown how to have an amazing voice if you don’t already sound good… Pretty sure
As beginner what oart if thd feet do you balance your weight on so movement looks fluid? Thank you. Please show your back as well when executing the movement! Thank you.
I just had my 60th birthday party and was on the floor all night! Just get up and move.
People are here because they don’t feel comfortable just getting up and moving.
I wish I had this when I was in high school.
I will get stuck for sure 😂
I’m a good dancer but I like making the teens in my family laugh with bad old uncool dancing moves as if I can’t dance, it just amuses me. 😂
WOW I can dance🤣
I guess my dancing isn't that bad. 😆 This is basically how I move! No classes or coaching, just lots of fooling around and occasional clubbing and YT vids.
I love you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
