Nigeria as a modern nation-state didn't even exist during the days when many modern-day African-Americans came to the (future) United States. The real question should rather be the ethnicity. Nigeria is a multi-cultural nation with many ethnicities such as the Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo (the three largest ethnic groups in the country), and over 525 regional languages, three national languages and English as official language. Nigerian as standalone could therefore be only considered if you actually come from that country and are a citizen of it. Nigerians probably define themselves more through one of the many local ethnicities. People from Nigeria or any other African nation for that matter, please correct me if I'm wrong with my statement.

I think this visit will seriously elevate the discussion in Parliament on the topic of taking away their titles. UK Government Foreign Officials had to step in and set the record straight with the Nigerian government that this was not a royal tour. Even so, the HRH title was inappropriately used, and the British National Anthem was played for Harry, even though Harry couldn't be bothered to sing "God Save the Kings" at the queen's funeral for all to see.
They may have tried to get one past like this, but there will be consequences for another Commonwealth County with the British government on any future visits posing as a royal tour.

Other countries will have seen those videos and the kickbacks they have received, if you were in power would you want your country mocked. The “tour” was to drum up support for the Invictus games.
