@Paul Bolin you are basically my hero. I have an external exam in 2 weeks and signed up to a crash course day by the royal college only to have them cancel it last minute! I was in despair until i found your videos. From the bottom of my heart God bless you! I I hope one day I can make the difference in someone else's life like you have for me!
You are amazing Doctor! Just a suggestion, it would be better to copyright your presentations so that your honest and hard work is widely recognized. Thank you for helping me pass med school these videos were my salvation.
I have strabismus and I am so self conscious about people looking at me directly. This has affected my life in a big way. I feel like everyone I speak to is looking at my eye and I am very self conscious meeting new people because of my strabismus. 😔😭
This lecture is so perfect and well explained. I watched it all till the end and was enjoying that i was able to understand this tough topics for the first time! Thank you so much Sir.
I really appreciate you 😀 going to my eye doctor Monday to see if I do have strabismus. I had congenital cataracts and I’m nearsighted. My primary care doctor noticed my right eye was turned outward.
Mental health disorders are afaik bcs of a) personal feelings (decr. selfesteem, etc.) and b) behaviour of others, esp. in childhood ("Look at that strange boy!")
What is the cause of strabismus? Please don't say muscle length, strength, or anything along those lines.... How about nasal to temporal motion processing?
i have strabismus till this day and double vision mine is called esotropia accomodative esotropia I also have hyperopia and high levels of astigmatism along with it? IS this normal is there anything i can do about it like eye exercises or anything??
I have a question? I know someone that his both eyes is looking upward eventhough my camera is in front of him while taking picture.. what do u call that kind of eye condition?
I am from Oregon, and my state covered insurance covers strabismus. I don't know where you are from, but just thought I would say. Your country state may cover it because strabismus is a preventative surgery to prevent eye sight loss. My state covers some preventative surgeries.
+Jake Hoffy Mine doesn't. I'm from Slovakia and here it's considered a cosmetic procedure, so it costs around 1000€. I had one when I was a kid, but it, sadly, didn't work.

thank you for this comprehensive review!!
23:00 shouldn't it be presbyopia?
These are great! Thank you Dr Bolin!
At 7:31 you said inferior oblique is not innervated by the oculomotor nerve but I think you meant to say "superior oblique"
Yes - that would certainly be correct. Sorry.
he meant superior oblique
tim root really like you you are really my teacher who I understand most thax
Your videos are awesome Dr. Bolin! Around 22:50 do you mean to say/write presbyopia instead of presbyacusis?
i think so
I belive so too, otherwise it doesn't make sense!
Daniel James presbycusis mean hearing loss in old age, which is of no concern here... So he must have been confused it with presbyopia.
Hi Dr .thanks for the great videos if u can add a video on neurophthalmolgy
thank you

Barbora Svorenova hahahaha sucks to be you
It's considered a cosmetic procedure for me too down in Australia. Strabismus makes me so self conscious, I have social anxiety.
James Baxter once was said: if you can be quite please be quite.

One of my eye is straight and the other is facing outwards and I can't read properly as I see two of everything
You have to wear a patch to read. Sorry to hear that.
+Jake Hoffy you just Gotta lie through it thanks for your kindness
