Cheapest travel from BANGKOK to SIEM REAP | My $1.50 train ride in SOUTHEAST ASIA

- I traveled from Bangkok to Siem Reap and I found the cheapest way possible. It's a $1.50 train ride from Bangkok to Ban Kong Luk Border Station, and then a $10 taxi ride from Poipet to Siem Reap. How awesome is that. You won't find it cheaper anywhere.

The main train station in Bangkok is no longer Hua Lam Pong.
It's what was Bang Sue Junction, and it's called Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station
Aah. Thanks for the correction. And thank you for watching 🙏
Another great video. Well done and thank you for sharing 👊🙏
🙏
Love this. Thank you for sharing this information!
You’re most welcome. Thank you for watching 🙏
Great video D. This place looks a bit scary to me though. Your transportation from border town to your hotel was a bit too dodge for my liking😂
In hindsight, yes it was dodgy taking that cab. But I took pictures of both gents and sent it back home. At that point my data was still working n I could still send my live location. I shoulda just taken a bus with more passengers.
where do you book train site ? i only see 8€ trains and not €1.38 like you got it ?
Hi. You have to buy it at the station. You cannot reserve it online.
Hi Mate!
Nice content! I was thinking of taking a flight to Siem Reap, but this is very cost effective I guess.
The VOA is 30$ but I've heard they demand bribes?
Also did they ask hotel/return ticket/cash on hand?
Thank you so much. The VOA is $30 but the immigration officers will ask for $33 if u don’t have passport photos with u. 🤷🏻♂️ and it’s cash only. they didn’t ask for proof of return tickets or hotel. Safe travels 😎👊
Taxis do not go to centre of SiemReao. Been like that for 20; years. Beat to tale tuk tuk for last mile.
Point taken. Thanks. It’s just that they promised to take me to Pub Street and then went back on their word. This also didn’t seem like a legit taxi service.
Were you able to do a visa run with this pathway?
I’m not sure. As a South African I didn’t need a visa for Thailand. But I needed one for Cambodia, which I can get on arrival without prior online application. For me it would have worked the other way around.
What was the place you stayed at called please mate ?
Hi. It’s called Tropical Breeze. Address: Wat Domnak Area, Salakamroeuk, Siem Reap, Cambodia, Siem Reap
@@ExploringDMT thanks 😊
