Bunbury and his mates on Héroes del Silencio clearly listened a lot of the british 80's gothic scene as nobody else did in their country, Spain. Lots of inspiration for them in many bands of that era like Pink Turns Blue or Fields of the Nephilim, for example. Good stuff, ignored by spanish people until Héroes apeared and showed to them.
