What a game for both teams. First half was sloppy but man that 2nd half was fun. Fiji Drua almost making a 28-9 comeback and scoring 3 tries in a span of 6 minutes without a man down for the Reds shows how much potential the Drua have for this competition. Lots of passion for both teams.
This is the worst the reds have played in years. Brumbies would flogged both these teams
What an awesome game. Super Rugby at it's best. This is going to help Fiji so much for the World Cup. From SA.
True mate ...blessings from uk
Couldn't agree more
Thanks brothers, means alot to us fijians
Fiji are gonna be a powerhouse come WC time🔥
And its only a C team .. most of them inexperienced also working day to day jobs
It looks like we all underestimated Drua, what a remarkable and inspiring performance, even Brad Thorne was lost for words and reds managed to hold on through sheer experience
speak for yourself dude
The Drua's comeback was magical - you thought at 28-9 it was over but they scored 3 tries in 5 minutes and came so close to pulling off one of the greatest upsets in super rugby history. :(
Well done to both teams :)
Beating the Reds would hardly be called one of the greatest comebacks.
@@brucefale6132 yeah if it was a nz team it would be much greater but since the drua are a new team to the comp, it would be considered a great comeback. At they show potential unlike the sunwolves.
A great comeback, sure, in history. God no.
Would’ve been good but nothing can beat highlanders in 2017 scoring 21 points in the last five mins to win a game
Gotta give it to the Drua team. They did very well since it's the first time in super rugby. They seem to be improving as they progress, I'm pretty sure they got alot more to show in the games ahead, the best is yet to come.. this is going to take Fiji 15's international team to the next level. Ref and officials did their best to be fair. Congratulations to the reds.
Great win by the Reds but you gotta appreciate that comeback by the Fijian Drua.
You are the best asianteen.space
The cinematographic and artistic choices are brilliant. Really interesting European cultural references. I wish European culture was more often so beautifully represented. I can't stop saying "oh this is beautiful" throughout the video. Light, seriously... whoever is in charge of lighting, great....
It wasn't a great win from the reds they almost lost in the end and gave up a 19point lead.. a lucky win not a great win!
F the comeback, is anybody going to talk about the horrible calls by the ref?!! He ruined the game for the Fijian's. That last try where no# 4 not only came from the side but cleared the way for Uru to score the winning try. And the number of forward passes was just ridiculous. So many offenses by reds that was completely ignored by ref!!
Yes thought I was the only one
That final Reds try almost looked like an NFL lineman clearing some space for the running back. :)
Yeh what was that about??
Exactly
Clearly in from the side and should have been a penalty
The Drua player was already coming in from the side. Had the Drua player stayed in line, he wouldn't have been cleared out.
Just before the last try a penalty should have been awarded to the Fijian Drua team for side entry by the Reds player.
Awsome to see Fijian flair in Super Rugby, this must be helping elevate South Pacific Islanders rugby standards so much. Much appreciated Super Rugby 👍🏼.
I am so relieved with the score line. The boys have started to believe in themselves.Great to have Tela in the side with his kicking boots on.The game tonight is going to add fuel in their enthusiasm tank. The best is yet to come. You did a great job. Thanks to the Coach and his team.Cheers.
Wananavu Fiji
Look at these warriors...they no longer need the gym, they need more mental preparation still psychologically immature, as the oxygen levels are depleted the wrong option chosen but the second half was tremendous, the character and spirit shown exemplified the grit and determination of a warrior born And bred ready to bleed ready to drop that shoulder once again and enter the fray.
Just magic
Bula brothers Bula
What a game.now if those set pieces and defensive lines start working they are a threat
Well done Fijian Drua. People of Fiji are proud of all your performances. Keep up the good work. All the best for the next game. Vinakavakalevu. Kalougata.
GO DRUA!!!
The coach who discovers how to motivate the Fijians will be a legend. When they decide to play, they can beat anyone. Their starting fullback didn’t want to tackle, so was subbed or hid. That seemed to make a difference in the second half. A very entertaining match.
He mucked up his knee
Lame attempt by Kerr on Petaia compared to the solid one on one tackle made by Petaia on Natave. This and Lomani's failure to clear the ball quickly from the ruck (he kept looking at the Ref's face 3-4 times hoping for a penalty) which resulted in QLD's last try could have changed the result of the match.
You have to wake up a mind of a fijian player psychologically spiritually and physically before he runs into a rugby pitch only then they can outperform any team on that day.......other then that they will only exhibit 65% potential.....this principle was echoed by the late Mr Kitione Vesikula Fiji 7s coach to Hong Kong 1990- 1992.
@@evanderkolli1234, yep. The day they learn to motivate themselves will be the day rugby changes forever. When it happens it is a joy to see.
@@garywagner2466 once that happened they will change the rules of the game to suit tier one teams. Money changes everything
That was an epic comeback from Fijian Drua to score tries within 5 minutes
Fiji Drua is going places..toso viti🏖🙏🏝🇫🇯✌✌
Completely blind ref to award the last try. Im a reds fan but that’s just robbery. Blatant in the side and obstruction punching a hole for the try scorer. #refsdecidinggames
Really Good Game from both sides. But we need to acknowledge the impact from the Drua bench especially from Rebels win last week and this game as the Drua always light up within the last 20-10mins. I truly believe that Joe Tamani has earned a start in the locks as he was everywhere and was giving his 101% for the team. Few penalties from Samuela Tawake #3 but the Drua are learning game by game. TOSO DRUA TOSO 🇫🇯💯
#VITILOMANI
Lomani made a big improvement when he came on too. Matawalu is good but can’t kick from the ruck. Must be why they had Kerr at 15. But man, Kerr has got to go now surely.
@@MarkWhippy he was pretty bad defensively didn't get a hand on petaia for the first try and got ragdolled for the second, I would not care if he got bumped off by Petaia but Petaia went around him easy.
Taliga would of been better at 15, can't wait for him to return from injury.
@@temesiakirailevutaukei9906 Even Kitione Ratu can play fullback. I want to see Bolaca get some game time too, he looked really dangerous when he came on against the Brumbies.
@@MarkWhippy Yeah Kerr will need to do more than just tactical kicking since there's others who can fill in but it's coach's call anyways.
Teti Tela proved himself that he will come second to none in donning the #10 white jersey🇫🇯💯
I don't normally watch Aussie super team highlights as they're a bit boring compared to NZ but when I saw the flying Fijians were playing I had to watch. What a team.
No shit Sherlock. U must be the sharpest tool in the shed ya peyoso.
Fijian Drua bro
@@elgordo9031 settle down brother
You have to love the Fijian, in their first season already playing to win with the best team in Australian Rugby, can't wait to see how they will be in a few years
It took a Reds Fijian to beat the Fijian Drua !
Great game from first timers Drua to nearly beat the AU Rugby champs !
Only way is up for the Dream Druas ! 👍😄
Great win by the Reds but fantastic to see the week by week improvement by the Drua 👍
great game. Does anybody else have doubts about the entry from the side of the ruck by no. 4 that cleared space for the Reds' winning try though? 6:31 Just didn't look right to me. But fantastic contest.
Also before that, a Reds player lost the ball while reaching for the try line. But the ref said it was carried back by Fiji and awarded the scrum to the Reds.
Yeah definitely drove sideways to create the space. Worth a look in my opinion but still a great game of rugby. Great to see Drua give a stronger Aussie team a run for their money.
After the first round, I thought the Rebels would be the only team that might lose but this game shows that even the Force may have trouble putting this team away.
Yep, deifinitely from the side, and taking possible defender out that opened up that scoring spot.
Reds had a penalty advantage anyway at that point
Drua player already sneaking in from the side, so he took him out. Had the Drua player stayed in line, it wouldn't have happened.
Just love the exposure of this Fijian Drua!! This has been immense to have a group of men (for Fiji) as a collective especially in 15s! in the SR outfit.. Few more progression on game management and awareness which we are all aware they're working on they will give any opponent a good run for their money!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The future for Fijian rugby is 🔥🔥🔥 they going to surprise the world come to world cup that's for sure
The ref killed that for Fiji
Great comeback from the Drua despite falling short at the death, they're adjusting very well with the AU teams. Now they just need work on psychological toughness and mental preparation to keep on going.
How they manage when they finally play the kiwi teams will be seen eventually in time.
Full back for Drua had a shocker defensively early and Number 23 for the Drua had 3 unmarked men inside him and only one cover defender to beat and tried to be Jonah Lomu but got smashed, really a game that the Drua Choked due to some bad decisions but it shows how much better the team is than people where expecting people where expecting them to get pumped every game. A dangerous team in this conference some better decision making and they will be very dangerous, have speed right across the lineup, even the forwards.
there is only one man who is worthy of wearing 23 it's not this guy lol
was never gonna pass that ball you can see it in his eyes lol
He has been afraid of contact both on attack and defence since the Waratahs game, and then Brumbies......now the Reds performance really cemented my suspicions.
I dont know, injury or some mental thing or just i don't know
Was hoping he'd step back in to draw the last two defenders and offload to his two supporters. He basically got humbled by his decision. Learning curve for him.
Fijian Drua should have won this game had they nailed that last conversion and played tight and smart in the last five minutes.
A vastly improving drua side, keep building boys 💪 that last set play nailed and try scored would've gone down as one of the great comebacks of supper rugby being a new franchise up against the experienced reds franchise. Well done drua 👏
Great game for both sides...drua learning and growing each game at a time.
I love Fiji rugby. From NZ
The Drua are a real surprise so far; their set piece is mostly shocking, their defence suspect, and their tactical kicking game almost non-existant but the sheer exhuberance of their open-field running game has made them a genuine threat against the Aussie competition leaders.
Fijian Drua proves to be a force to be reckoned with.
Outstanding performance from a new team like Drua = likely to win 🏆 in near future...
If the drua can fix up their set pieces they gonna be a dangerous team for sure. They still learning and playing together as a new team
Vinaka Fiji Drua ..Vinaka REDS for th Win.
Three tries within 5 minutes..Holly Molly it's was Suburb. Les Goo Drua.
If the Drua had only nailed that last lineout. So close.
Very True ! They were calling out the line out codes in Fijian which was well read by Uru to counter that last line out....nevertheless ! Nail biting finish 🔥
@@ropateturagaiviu5212 Oh of course. Damn! Uru should have let that one go for his fellow country men.
Fiji are suffering in the line outs
They interviewed the Fijian reds player at training during the week before the game…and his family and friends told him they were going for drua…so I’m glad he got the last laugh in the end he played very well
Well he won it for the Reds. Scoring that crucial try and winning that last Drua line-out throw that could have won the game for the Drua had the ball gone the way the Drua had planned.
What a game congrats to the Reds but man Drua with the comeback. Great performance by the Fijians proud of this team✊
Wow....that was epic, 🔥 what a game of two halves; what a second-half performance from the Drua 💙.
Onto to the next one.
6.36 illegal entry by the lock which ended in a try, the game winner total robbery. Ref should not be bias. Todo Drua Toso, Kaiviti power all the way.
Yep, illegal entry and no arms shoulder charge which made head contact. If the roles were reversed the Drua player would be sent off.
Nah no excuse mana, drua did well, refs have a tough job out there. Lets just move on and hopefully drua keep putting up the same fight throughout the rest of the season aye🙏
@@shawnberry6110 not getting into the whole bias thing, because i dont know the refs nor saw the game live, but i agree that the contact there should definitely have been looked at, very easily could of been a card there, also, imo, the final lineout, the reds jumper jumped across the lineout, into the drua lifters, which on another day is a penalty as well.
@@cameronbolton6160 I watched live and just before the Reds last try, they were awarded a scrum that should have been to the Drua. The Reds player was reaching out for the try line and lost the ball. But the ref said it was knocked back by the Drua but the replay showed it was just lost by the Reds player. So that whole play that led to that try shouldn’t have happened. The ref could have at least checked it at such a crucial time in the game.
I don’t think it was bias though, just bad refereeing.
@@John.Smith679 it's not excuses like yours...its facts!!
Gutted that the Fijian Drua lost in the end, so exciting to watch 🇫🇯🔥
Love the inclusion of pacific islands teams ! LOVE THIS COMPETITION!
The last try had a Reds player come into the ruck from the side...
That last try by the reds should have been disallowed. Number 4 reds coming in from the side, taking drua players away, giving uru the space to easily get a try.
Hurricanes fan from the USA, here. Outstanding match from both sides. Much respect to the Drua for the way they have played in recent weeks. Fiji is a great rugby nation, and I am delighted that they have a team representing them proudly in Super Rugby!
Awesome game. Good to see Petaia at fullback, that's where he's gonna be good in the long run
So good to see the Fijian and Pasifika teams in the comp playing so well, it’s only going to get better for them both. Fair play to the Reds for hanging on!
It was a Fijian that beat Fiji... This was an epic match
If not for that other Fijian in the Reds team, we would have won . Vinaka Drua, soko wasa, coqa ua lelevu, tou na yaco yani ena vanua mamaca. 👊🙌💟

😂😂😂 osoo but great anyway toso drua🇫🇯
Vakadua tale mada✌😁🔥.fiji on fire

15 men playing as a team. This is not an individual game. If it wasn't for the other 14 men for the reds, he would be horse 🐎 shit.
What a game! Never give up Drua.
this is good for the Drua stepping up to the big table i give this two more seasons and they will be causing massive ripples
I salute the Drua for a hard fought show and it's been a privileged to say that is a warning to tier 1 nations when the time comes,it will be interesting to watched and we can all witnessed how super rugby it has never been played before...cheers up Drua!!!..GB!!!
Drua are unstoppable once they break out of structure and start playing with flair.
Number 4 Reds with a clear shoulder to the head at the ruck for the last try and it gets conveniently ignored... 🙄
Not to mention coming in from the side. Useless
Number 4 for the reds didn’t enter through the gate to clean that last ruck which opened the door for the Winning try…☹️..I gutted for our boys but well played to both teams. Toso Drua Toso.
There was one play where there were 5 or 6 infringements where the penalty or scrum should've gone to the drua..there were knockons, forward passes, foot in touch all in one play..but the ref didn't blow his whistle🤦🏽♂️..ref's way biased than ever
The future looks bright 🙌🏽🔥up the Drua 👏🏽
Vinaka Drua, what an awesome game...lost my voice cheering for you. You guys made the Reds run for their money....toso drua toso.
They play some.good Rugby.
It takes time, years usually for a new team to get up to pace of super rugby ...but the drua are basically already there
That's what I'm saying.. once Fiji Drua and even flying fijians get regular games together they become such a good team
Not even close. The defense structure is horse shit. The missed tackles tonight were 40+ compared to the reds 11. The coaching staff needs to get these sorted out before heading to NZ
@@lethalkiller9528 stop comparing to Nz lol its drua's first year, coaching staff will obviously look at stuff like that. Chill out my guy🤫
@@John.Smith679 bruh never did I compare. Did you take your meds?
It's the fourth game now and the defense structure is still the same. Which only means, coaching staff not doing anything.
Of course, it's their first time, but having the other team carve up the defensive line with ease for 4 straight weeks, is not acceptable.

Unlucky Drua, getting better all the time

If Fiji (the international team) use the drua players for international test matches plus the European players then that team would be scary next year.
That's the general idea here
The team would be unstoppable.
Looked like a double movement by Reds 7seven right in front of the try line.
Wow ! Drua is a real winner in this game . They just join the super rugby but wow ! The way the compete is like they into super rugby for many decades like Reds. Wait after few years in super rugby, Drua will start toying around those teams .
Remember that we still have Vularika injured. He’s a utility backs with strong defensive game play. He’ll be knocking them opponents when he comes in. Maybe they’re saving him to play against NZ teams.
Vularika is out for 6months so that means he will miss out for the whole season
@@kijilaovere2078 damn, I think best to put him back on halfback sincè he's also very good there.
@@6VITU9 Lomani being the national half back is indecisive. The last QLD try was scored because of his failure to clear the ball from the ruck. Instead of clearing he kept looking at the Ref 3-4 times hoping to get a penalty. Another mistake was the try QLD scored from the Line out maul. The Drua hooker, prop and no 8 did not join the maul to stop it. So it was 5 against 8. These 2 and Kerr's lame attempt on Petaia all resulted in tries. The positive side is all the new caps are putting their hands and playing well which will have healthy competition. Drua coaching team should start selecting players on merit and not for their names. Teti Tela proved that he is deserves the no 10 Jersey ahead of Volavola in the national side. He made the initial break which resulted in the 1st and last tries scored. If they can polish up their line outs and defence they should do really well in the 2nd round.
I don't rate Vularika, he is a one dimensional player that loves to run the ball and forgets to organise and managers game sets. I watched him playing for Suva and it can be frustrating to see his poor game management, especially being a national rep. I wouldn't swap Ravouvou, Vota, Lomani or Matawalu for him but I hope he could prove me wrong and I wish him all the best.
@@hanyazzam5073 in a maul, forwards don't all go in. There has to be players flanking on the sides to cover anyone peeling off. If you watch most games. Most games, it can even take 3 to 4 defending forwards to hold a full attacking 8 men maul.
Reds cleared out the defender to score that last try…
Big shout out to our Pacific brothers...Aussie rugby has been dead for the past years ..with this drua team win or lose they bring open runninyg exciting rugby back on the platform..fafetai island brothers🎉🎉
Fiji is just starting with super rugby this year but is already in good performance....just wait for a few more years and see what Fiji is capable of!... Vinaka Fiji
Great game! Excellent from both sides!
Oh my God!! The world under estimated the Fijian Drua team. Look at them now they're amazing !!!
Drua 23 should have passed the ball to his supporting player.
Great game!!!!🇫🇯
Well done reds. Drua playing much better cohesive rugby. Is it just me though…or is the fullback for Drua a bit small(thin). Never seen the lad make a tackle and if he is your last line of defence..you’ll let many in.
Nah made he let many people go past since the first game......he supposed to have Super rugby exerience?
Both on attack and defence he didn't want no contact
@@wametokalau wonder why he is there though, he a weak link in the side I feel. No offence to the lad, but it’s not club rugby here..
He should be benched in the next game or out from the match day 23...weak link..can't say much because he came out from retirement to join the Drua outfit.
Nah he's honestly terrible defensively , which is a shame coz he has a good boot
I thought he was the weakest link too. We need someone quick and can tackle back there, otherwise the others will have to work extra hard to get back and defend on he's behalf. I hope they bench him in the next game. Just my observations.
Hell of a comeback from the fijians
Surely Tela for the 10 come next year.
Amazing game fiji the improvement with each game wow.
6:32 reds number 4 coming in from the side of the ruck right in front of the referee.
Fiji had a big jump in confidence after their win last week. Shame they lost this one. This is great to hopefully up the Aussie sides' skills
The DRUA are really improving every week. Even the lineouts has improved in the space of a week. My goodness you can’t take them lightly and they play the full 80 minutes
I think that the last Reds try should have been a penalty to the Drua. Drua defenders Rucked without the ball in front of the referee which enabled the try scorer to barge his way through.
Dina saraga, koya ya e barasi tu yani qai sega tu madaga na polo. Vavuna nona vuni rawa o uru. Vacava talega na score nei no.2 e forward pass mai vei Paisami
@@Aisakesavou679 yeah I was thinking that too, the refs are not consistent
Habosi was coming in from the side. That is why he got cleared. Had Habosi stayed in line, it wouldn't have happened.
@@mataicakau237 I thought the Fijian defenders were all behind the tryline. Anyway, hope the Drua are consistent as they are gaining momentum and winning hearts of fans all over.

This team will be huge for the Fijian 15s
Well done both teams. Fiji Drua are legit
I’d love to see the reds fullback @ 13 again. That’s where I first saw him and he just seemed so natural in the 13 channel. (I’m not gonna attempt to spell and butcher his name )
oh boy what a match!! they are getting better! watch out!!!
Great stuff🙂
Good game! Bit sloppy here n there but fun to watch, nice comeback from the Fijians too.
Great second time... Good match for both teams!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That 2nd to last try by reds was clearly a forward pass
Lets go DRUA! That Jordan Fella is a weapon for the Reds
Last year, the Fijian-born Seru Uru shattered Drua's chances of defeating the Reds, and he has also managed to repeat the feat this year. What a player!
Let’s goooo drua great game boys
Fijian spirits are always high ...Great Game
Baden Kerr was very poor defensively...... 1st Queensland try he did not make a genuine effort to tackle Reds fullback from scoring.
Was wondering why they still have him.
I think he mucked up his knees in one of the tackles
He missed the rebels game last minute because he was injured as well, so he was probably playing with an injury the whole time.
@@MarkWhippy No wonder he looked rusty from that injury
Hehehehe...give us the fitness, give us the exposure...we will take over 15s just like 7s. This is why THEY didn't want us in top rank 15s competitions. Now we are here. Come on Moana let's do this.
They'll win some games but as far as taking over 15s. That's a bit of a stretch
@@meref9973 Well, our next step up is to be in the Rugby Championship. My prediction is a 20yr walk in tier 1 rugby...for 7s we didn't really know we had it until Ryan came in 2013 to show us food and discipline was our enemy.
