then they shouldve removed the pen or cdr as the main reason melee champs bought seryldas was for the sticking power

@@saltythehooligan9439 i do agree. that does make it better as a item but stronger passives are almost the reason why people buy items. remove that and keep the slow and the ap item would still be better. too many items are situational and many champions in this game have very specific kits. black cleaver gives some health, damage, and haste but whats good is the passive, yet ldr(champions that have the attack speed to get procs faster, have a item with 40% flat instead of stacking damage.)

Serylda was nerfed because it was used by brusier and some marksman. Rylai is only used on few champion that is design for. Serylda is assasin item

I bought it one game I was super ahead into 4 ranged, it’s like buying frozen heart for the passive but a bit worse
Ad champs could deal some one to be below 50 faster than most of the ap champs that needs it (execluding mord/ brand ) the rest will just struggle to make anyone less than 50% hp

It ain't the same, zeryldas gives way more at a base line so having a conditional slow is resonable
I don't think so, since ap champs can proc it continuously with dot items like Liandry's, inbuilt DOT's or overall spells like Aurelion's vomit. AD champs tend to not have those AND need to actually stay near their target. Yea the stats they give are a bit unbalanced in comparison, but they passive is why most people buy these items anyways.

I play Mordekaiser so Im kinda hapy rylais its the same, but also I play Zed and I get why they did that to seryldas, with lethality being now full flat armon pen is easier for assasins to oneshot squishies and it would be broken as hell to get oneshoted and also cant move, also for that now serylda its just an assasin item, still I think rylais need a nerf for range champs, cut the slow in half for them or even more and just give tem 10 percent slow
Serylda’s wasn’t nerfed, it was changed
In exchange for getting lethality and a passive that can exceed its old %pen value it only slows enemies below 50%, that’s nit a nerf, that’s power neutral at worst and arguably a buff to its intended users
expect at 5 times of full lethality you scrape to around 29% pen
they should make rylais % slow different for ranged and meele so champs like morde dont get even worse

because most ad champions that used serylda's already had tons of burst damage and such, majority if not all of ap champions that use rilay's are burn dmg mages besides obviously brand that has some burst thanks to his passive
it's true that it's essentialy the same, and that's something i agree with, but the users are totally different.
you may had an aatrox and a zed use serylda, one being a bruiser and the other being an assassin, but you couldn't have a, say, syndra with rilay's because it gives so little value to her since she has no tick-based damage and is all burst but you could have someone like mord, morgana or seraphine because they all do have some kind of tick-based damage
also, serylda users were champions that could walk up to you, rilay's is used for the ones that are considered trolling when staying in melee range xd
Morde builds it and you def walk up when playing that champ
yeh i didn't clarify, of course with mord is different because he does walk up because melee and shit but that's my point, it's a different kind user of that item, for example, sylas and gwen are also melee ap bruisers but since they go more into burst damage, they normally won't use rilay unlike mord would

they should just make it the slow last X seconds and is not refreshed with dots and spells.

just stats alone seryldas is better than rylais, But if they were to rework it they have to remove its strength like armor pen and lethality. It would be an AD hp item if it where to fit for bruisers
what are you talking about? cry is 600g less, it offers a better slow, and also offers more ap comparably than the ad and lethality you gain from grudge. I can also say with cry you can build first item and get it's value all in one while grudge you literally have to build it up to get the most out of it.

@@reaper8264it is comparable slow but they change it so poke champ wont abuse it mostly and it provides less damage stat than serylda, the cost reflected the stat.
Also rylais is for ranged Champions, many of wich already run ghost. That specially sucks for aatrox since he is 95% made of slow winding up skillshots
@@tamdang8346 no it really doesn't most champs that build it usually would go riftmaker like swain, udyr, and morde. Brand, zyra, and morg can poke you with it and even without it, the fact that grudge rn isn't doing hot at all, in fact it's getting picked less than LDR and Cry.

Rylai is an item who only works on certain champs, since most mages already have either a better slow or hard cc, as a matter of fact, most times you dont even need to build rylais.
If nerfed, no mage would buy it.
If they changed Seryldas to be an AD Rylais, giving basically the same stats and passive, Hp and Ad only, no bruiser would buy it as well.
Rylai used to be more expensive and people still bought it, they just bought it second.

This is why riot reverted the price to 2600.

Controversial opinion but slowing shouldn't exist as an item effect. Serylda and Rylai's are unhealthy for the game. They're incredibly broken on certain champions.

Shen used to be a lane bully, riot have left him cucked since his rework because he was one of the strongest toplaners in the game for years and they reworked him to change that, I miss old shen.
Shen is cucked to the point where he HAS to rely on his teammates to function lmfao. He feels so shit to play right now it's not even funny.
I'd much rather have a lane bully Shen that can actually do something else other than being a punching bag after level 6 than what we have now tbh.
The problem is that his ult is annoying since it has impact on early fights.
