Thanks for the detailed and balanced review, Joseph. The BenQ looks amazing. The light is so uniform and clean that your paper sheet music appears to be backlit. No more shadows!
Thanks for this clear, honest and professonal review about one of the top key pianist's piece of hardware! I would probably get this "light" very soon, it doesn't make sense to me spending less for something that will cause more troubles than other. Especially when the potential impact is on my eyes. Only one question, if you will have ever time to reposnd: Is out there something similar and cheaper but without some of the features that I will probably not need anyway i.e. Spotlight with infrared sensor and Autodimming with external light sensor? Thanks and keep up the good work!
I am sure there are plenty of lamps that light the piano similarly without the extra features, but I am not sure of any specific ones. This light is really smooth and even, although it doesn't get very dim, but the color temperature is really nice. I still think it's worth it! Thanks for the comment.
I really like it! I can definitely see the difference from your old light. Merry Christmas;
Thank you! You too!

I love how it makes the music look. It really is an improvement. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Joseph, do you still recommend the BenQ lamp…any issues over the years?…Thank you!
I do! I still use mine on my upright piano. Apparently they are releasing a larger model for grand pianos soon, and I intend to get that as well.
@@FlexLessons Great, thanks a lot...have a great day.
I totally want one! Piano lamps are as common as pig’s teeth here in Australia.
Looks like this one has a bit of a shipping delay here in the states, but I think it's worth waiting for!
