When I was 17 years old, my boyfriend (who is now my husband) was getting ready to deploy overseas. The night before he left, he took me into his living room then put on this song and danced me around his living room while he sang it to. Many, many years later, the best man at our wedding sang that song for our bride and groom dance. It's been 30 years and six kids and that is still one of my favorite memories.
It nearly broke my heart today when I learned Kenny Rogers passed away yesterday. RIP, Kenny, you meant more to the world than I think even you knew. Thank you for the memories.

I grew up in a predominately Black and Latino neighborhood. And one of the Absolute gifts of that time, was the radio. Unlike today, several radio stations played all genres of music, including Kenny Rogers. That's how we were introduced to Kenny Rogers and several other fine musicians, through the radio. Well, when we heard Kenny Rogers The Gambler and Lady, we were in love with his music and with his unique voice. We love him! His music is a huge part of my life, and I still listen to his songs to this very day.

Well am really sorry about that okay 😒☹️and I know how it feels to be lonely without the our love ones, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life must move on because death is inevitable no matter how hard we try! And we'll all have to face it someday, I lost my oldest daughter Annabel on February 24th 2020 during the lockdown on a car accident, and she just turned 22 on her last birthday before she got knocked down by a moving vehicle 🚗 and so unluckily for me that horrible day the driver was drunk. That was the worst and most lamentable day of my life as a single Dad raising two kid's, my 17 years old son Clark and my 4 legged 🐶 families are my everything and the reason I still keep strong, and keep going! My late wife also passed away 3 years ago from a shocking disease, I felt deeply devastated with grief, and I was so heartbroken 💔 but that's the past now, God and time are indeed the best healers.

This is the best song I've ever Heard. For this song I felt strongly attracted to learn English for I was sure there was a big amount of love, feeling and sincerity. At the momento I listend to this song, there was no internet, no lyrics available online, the only way to listen t it was having the record or cassette, or sitting down waiting for local stations to play it ( with no publicity ) and get ready to record it in your tpe recorder.
