- I just spent 100 days building insane farms in my Hardcore world. But my raid farm has a big problem, it's too good! It produces so many items that the chests overflow in just a few minutes. So in this video, I'm making a new sorting and storage system to keep all of the tens of thousands of items this farm produces!

@@patrick3168 Yeah, that's what the point is. Totems are normally worth a lot, but he has so many he can just burn them. He's rich because he can waste something valuable.

i’d reccomend hooking up the item collection to a item sorter that filters out the iron tools snd crossbows, and inputs them into furnaces to also get iron nuggets

incase anyone wondering why crossbows also had to be filtered out, they can be used as fuel (including enchanted crossbows)

Recently added a raid farm to my collection in my modded world. Got all my items going into a centralized refined storage system linked to all my farms and automation.
I literally had to add a separate export system just to remove and rid myself of the overflow of junk I was getting.
Did you sort the totems on your own, or made a non-stackable item sorter?
Is that possible in vanilla? I mostly play modded but I was under the impression vanilla sorters required stacking

Non stackable item can be sorted by allay now, but it seems that he didn't make that system in the video, so I think he sorted those totem manually
You can sort stackable such as carts, armour, water bucks, lava buckets, powder snow, boats, flint and steel
It is but I need allays which he didn’t have so he manually did it
Add a system that burns the crossbows in furnace, smelting the iron axes. More room and free iron!
Not possible because you can’t sort non stackable items

yeah it was pretty bad to begin with lol, now i can actually use the farm for longer than 5 minutes!
I believe you can use bows to smelt the iron axes to turn it into chunks so it's stacable
that is definetly not worth the effort

You're being limited by hopper speed. A hopper can suck up and move items every 8 ticks or 0.4 seconds. To combat this, you can filter out the unstackables in parallel to prevent hopper overflow. Load these unstackables into boxes (in parallel) and store in bulk. Then for a bonus, load the stackables into boxes. Once full, the boxes will each go into a splitter array to make sure only 1 item type is unloaded, then into a box merger and stored as full shulker boxes

I made my first raid farm yesterday (not this design lol) but of my gosh, I have over a shulker box full of totems and have popped a few in my hardcore run now. I have never felt so safe in Minecraft 😂

I have a farm in my world that produces so many items i literally have to automatically put them in shulker boxes (from a shulker farm, really easy, you should build one if you havent already) or all my chests would fill up in something like an hour lmao

That's cool usually I get all my farms attached to a item sorter. I mean like have a minecart hopper grab the items from the farm then transfer it to a item sorter/storage sorter.
yeah that would’ve been a better method than pistons and ice how i did it lol. i think just a water stream would work best for this farm. it might go too fast for hopper minecarts to keep up

I noticed one thing that may help. Instead of chest use hopper minecarts, they transfer items much quicker

I would have made an automatic shucker storage system for a farm like this
If the problem with your farm is that it produces too many items, then its a good farm
That's why I like the create mod and it's chute/smart chute. The chute instantly drops an item into a chest/onto the ground or wherever and the smart chute makes it so you can filter. If I'm playing with modpacks, I always hope the create mod is on
This would work in a multiplayer world. You basically would be Mansa Munda, giving everybody free OP stuff
