    Gayle, thank you so much for doing this even while you've been sick. Simplicity can be so beautiful, and I really enjoyed this. But you need to get rest and sleep, all that you need. I know that doing a shorter video was still a lot of work and was so glad to hear that you napped in between stages. So take care and do get completely well soon.

      Thanks, Deborah. I'm still having an occasional fever and stomach upset. The doctor did some tests yesterday to see what might be causing it. This makes 3 weeks that I've been sick! I'm ready to feel better!

    I'm studying scrimshaw I'm looking for a substitute for ivory. I'm from Indonesia can you name the second brand of clay you use? I have entered the link you provided but what happens is that there are so many brands. Sorry, my English is bad. what brand?

    These beads are lovely! Must buy some materials. I have a question. I am restoring a piece with missing ivory in very thin lines inlaid in wood. I need a paste filler that dries to look like bone or ivory creamy white with a closed surface finish, without any oven baking. Does this exist? What if i used this clay and let it dry without firing? Would it harden at all or remain maleable?

    • @Mimismarketva
      @Mimismarketva  4 роки тому +1

      Polymer clay does not dry. It will remain workable. BUT they do make Air-Dry clays - Makins for example - that may work. OR if your item can stand heat, you could mix some polymer clay with liquid polymer clay to fill the area then use a heat gun to cure it. I would practice on something before you try it though. Heat guns can burn your clay quickly but if you keep it far enough away and keep it moving, it is possible. Sorry I can't be of more help.

    Please forgive a beginner's question: when you bake a color and the transluscent, the layers blend together?

    I love this tutorial; exactly what I’ve been wanting to do but didn’t know how.
    I’m about to buy a motorized pasta machine. Are you happy with yours (compared to a manual one)?

    • @Mimismarketva
      @Mimismarketva  6 років тому

      I used a manual pasta machine for years and it was fine. UNTIL I got a motorized one! So much easier on the elbow and wrist! I'll never go back. I have the one I have on my Amazon Influencer Site - machine and motor are separate.

      Thanks. And you're right! I ended up relapsing on Saturday and was sick on Easter Sunday! Ended up spending the day alone wrapped in my heated throw and sleeping most of the day. Whatever this is, it really did a number on me.

      Unfortunately I learned that lesson. I've been sick again since Saturday!
