    Wow. I was expecting the extreme sheen to give unwanted pearlescence but everything came up absolutely fantastic. Wow.

    I know this is an older video but I always keep coming back to it because it is so beautiful💗. When you say it's baked and Polished, what do you polish them with to get them so shiny. I have tried varathane and I can't get my piece is as shiny as these. I also know that it takes a lot of sanding and polishing with different grits to get a sheen also.

      Hello Robin I also used water base polyurethane and a very soft brush as for sanding I use 800 to 1000 to 1500 I did not sand for to long just to smooth the edges hope this helps and Thank you for watching👍

      @@CelebrateCreations oh thank you I'm just getting started on something like this I ended up using a good size block because I couldn't find measurements of the 3 pieces so I was trying to judge in comparison with your hand and trying all kinds of things so all I've gotten done with got a whole block and I'm not talking about a small block of the bigger block of translucent and that's as far as I've gotten because I don't think I'm doing it quite right if you could give me any idea of the measurements because it's just so hard to try to guess that I looked and looked and on my phone under the description and couldn't find it I could have very well overlooked it and I'm watching it on my big screen TV while I was working on it but I'm doing something wrong cuz I can't believe it takes that much clay to make you know four or five beads so any help or ideas you can give me I am willing and able to listen thank you so much honey you have a blessed day

      Hello LeAnn, get a 2oz bar of translucent and divide that into 4 parts, them roll the out and go threw the pasta machine on the medium setting once you have them condition and rolled out cut to the size you see in my tutorial. continue with mixing paint like shown to get the different shades. Hope this helps & just have fun thank you for watching 💞

    Nice work but if someone sells me this as a real mineral, how do i distinguish if its natural or not?

    • @CelebrateCreations
      @CelebrateCreations  4 роки тому +1

      Hello Krystian, the way you would know if it is a real stone or faux stone , is the real stone would be much heaver than polymer clay. Hope this helps and thank you for watching.🌸

      @@CelebrateCreations Thank you, how hard are polymer clay works? Is it possible to replicate certain gemstone properties like chatoyancy?

    • @CelebrateCreations
      @CelebrateCreations  4 роки тому +1

      Some gemstones are difficult and some can be easy. If you have not worked with polymer clay before. i would start with a stone that don't require a great deal of mixing . I got into polymer clay because i was looking for turquoise stones for a seed bead bracelet and as you know they can be expensive and to heavy. So i started making my own. The rest is history .
      Here is a link to a easy one i created and see if you like it before you invest in tools and clay.

      Real stones are cold to the touch too. Polymer clay has a plastic like feel in comparison.
