    nice video, you should have shown how to disconnect the wires that go to the airbag and horn from the main wire harness, I just did mine today and it took some fumbling to get them disconnected. also it would be cool if you relocate the cruise control buttons somewhere on the dash, maybe left of the steering wheel, all you really need is the cruise set button because you can disengage it with a tap of the clutch or brake pedal.

    9:40 that ring is a piece of metal to be used as the ground for your horn, the spring on the horn button has to be touching a piece of bare metal, without that ring the spring would be touching the painted surface of the steering wheel.
    basically what i'm tring to say is you put that ring in the wrong place.

      i ended up having to cut it if i i remember correctly, it was on the clock spring and it would just not come off. same thing on the forums, people cut it off

  • @andyolson6529

    Oh yeah, I meant to ask you, on ur Ep3 when u got ur coilovers, did u have to get rear adjustable camber arms, or did u do front and rear. And also did u do a steering rack insert to help the bump steer?

    • @RedlineRicer
      @RedlineRicer  6 років тому +3

      Andy Olson so I'm on d2 racing rs coilovers and they lower the car a lot, so with that I did a lot of research on making sure my suspension geometry was correct. I have a blackworks rear camber links (so I can adjust camber) on the front of the ep3, if you have camber plates. It wont change your camber. Itll just change your toe instead I got camber arms in the front with buddyclub p1 bushings (RCA bushings) and a teigwa steering rack riser. I also have the hardrace steering arm joint (it flips the arm to the other side of the knuckle and fixes suspension geometry even more) hope that helped man

    • @andyolson6529
      @andyolson6529 6 років тому +2

      Redline Ricer thanks for the help man, so all you had to do was the rear camber links, and for the front the adjustable camber arms? Im getting some BC racing coilovers within the next 2ish weeks so im trying to make sure its all correct

    • @RedlineRicer
      @RedlineRicer  6 років тому +2

      Andy Olson rear camber links. Front adjustable camber arms, buddyclub p1 rca bushings (front), teigwa steering rack riser, Hard race reverse tie rod ends. (I highly recommend the reverse tierod ends, and the buddyclub p1 bushings with the teigwa steering rack riser. U dont need the front camber arms. So parts to buy for you: bc coilovers, rear camber links, hardrace reverse tierod ends, buddy club p1 bushings, teigwa steering rack riser. Front camber arms (optional)

    • @andyolson6529
      @andyolson6529 6 років тому +2

      Redline Ricer so to do the coilovers i have to have the rear camber links, hardrace reverse tierod, and the buddyclub rack riser, or are those just things u would highly suggest? And so i really dont need adjustable camber arms front and rear? Im kinda a suspesion newb haha

    • @RedlineRicer
      @RedlineRicer  6 років тому +2

      Andy Olson I would say just get coils first and a rear camber link. But you will get some noticable bump steer in the front, but if you can deal with it it's fine. I autocrossed and daily drove it without any of the steering rack parts. Just get front camber stems and a rear camber link and you will be fine

    Nice, bro I've totally wanted to do this to my car as well. Can you tell me if you drop the steering wheel tilt to the bottom level does the steering wheel block out any of the dash?

      thezanomac becuase I have a racing seat. I sit lower so no it doesnt. But I have a friend who has stock seats and it does block some

      The Spare Tireunfortunately, I sold the steering wheel and airbag! Sorry ,

    • @thesparetire7448
      @thesparetire7448 6 років тому +1

      Redline Ricer its alright i think im gonna go with an aftermarket one like you did. How did you unplug the SRS thing on top of the clock spring is it just a plug or did you cut it off?

    • @RedlineRicer
      @RedlineRicer  6 років тому +1

      The Spare Tire I kind of explained in the videos but theres a tab at the top and bottom of it and they're stubborn, but no need to break anything. People on UA-cam say you have to break it but you dont.

    do they make steering wheels with a steel inner tube? Thieves will cut them in order to get theft deterrents like the club off.

    • @RedlineRicer
      @RedlineRicer  6 років тому +1

      busywl69 the plastic you saw isnt plastic. Its steel on the inside with a plastic boot to make it prettier if that's what you're talking about?

    • @busywl69
      @busywl69 6 років тому +1

      oh, sorry. I just meant, in general, do they make em? yeah I think that's what I'm looking for. preferbly where you can still have a airbag.

    • @RedlineRicer
      @RedlineRicer  6 років тому +1

      busywl69 they dont make aftermarket steering wheels that have airbags man!! Sorry but u can get your steering wheel reupholstered to make it look better
