4 years later, this information is more important than you could imagine. Remember, it really all magic g . Ty for opening your mind up and sharing the insight to whoever presentation this was
Highly appreciate the research and effort you have put into this presentation in the ongoing push to bring further credibility to occult topics within academia. Your enthusiasm for the material at times impedes the vocal delivery of your message with frenetic speed. The content here is impressive and enlightening. Amazing stuff!
just clicked on this, but where have you been all my life? I swear to god I search the same shit and some days something that's been around for 10 years and I've searched for a million times is like "Oh hey, been waiting for ya" :3
You're talked for an hour and thirty-seven minutes about Memetic Magic and never mentioned the original "Memetic Magic: Manipulation of the Root Social Matrix and the Fabric of Reality"? Where do you think some of these ideas came from originally?
Very interesting talk. I'd say though that the origin of the term wasn't that people were using marketing tactics and calling it magic because of the way technology has been comunicated (although I fully agree that that's why the term took off in hyper materialist alt-right circles), there's literally alt right magic practitioners (as in, people who perform magic) who were using chaos magic to subvert culture (see early examples in /pol/'s ebola chan threads) and that's where the "meme magick" comes from. Alt-right chaos magicians just snuck the term and the practices, marketed it the right way for their audience, and soon the alt-right was lapping it up.
