My heart was hurting for Kevin when they did the concert without him and when they said he was holding them back. Like I knew Kevin was always treated like the outcast but this...really proved it.

Man when they left Kevin out in that performance I felt that. It’s exactly the same as being alone in a crowd or in a group of friends. You just feel like nothing, you mean nothing to anyone, you have no place in the world. Especially since he’s gone through bullying at a young age, it’s like those feelings of being left out comes back in a different form.
I felt for him. I felt for the breakup and that “real talk” they had to work through it is powerful. But as a youngest child who’s always been on the outside I can’t help but wonder where Frankie has been in all of these conversations, or if they’d ever asked him to join if they reunite.

Yunakura especially considering growing up he felt like he didn’t belong anywhere, so finding a purpose in the group made him really happy. I felt so sad for him when he talked about how hurtful it was. I imagine he still probably feels like an outcast considering fans always gravitated to the other brothers during their hey day. The one brother who deserves so much , seems to get the least

When they talked about the concert Nick and Joe did without Kevin broke my heart. The discussion between them during the drinking them is heartbreaking, you can see how it affected Kevin deeply. The fact of being put aside by your own family is terrible, I can relate but I'm glad they discussed about it so it wouldn't be buried anymore

musicmakerchick19 Kevin actually has a really nice voice but apparently felt more comfortable singing back up vocals.
yeah of course not everyone is a singer but he was left out as a musician and I do understand Joe and Nick but it's sad nevertheless. But now they talked about it, everything's good !
At the end of the day I still feel like Kevin is the one who really "made it" first, he married his long time girlfriend and being the father of two beautiful girls .

MADE IT would mean who got famous first, they all three were famous because of camp rock and after the break up NICK went on to get even more famous while no one really talked about kevin EVER, and joe while was in a band WAS NOT topping charts or talked about really either until he went on tour with demi and nick. I never heard about either of them until Nick got married and they showed up on James Cordon's show. If you mean he MADE IT in life, sure he got married first AFTER they became famous and the band broke up and disappeared.

stephsmithanie he had his kids while they were split up and he was already married before they split his daughter Alena is 5 now so she was born in 2013 or 2014. So he did have a kid at the time but his wife had Valentina 2 years ago.
I think it’s funny how we all used to love Joe and Nick back in the day, but I think we can all agree that Kevin is a much better example to us in this time.

Mixed Goddess Thank you. I can feel slightly bad for Kevin. But as a youngest myself I am livid that Frankie, now as an adult, has been excluded from all this game. Certainly he may have a choice, and we just don’t know. But this “group therapy” should definitely take him into account! And hopefully they’ve done so behind the cameras.

I think it has more to do with the fact that he seems more sensitive then his older brothers. He also might of wanted to quit The Jonas Brothers because his acting career was taking off. You can't deny that he does more acting then his brothers.
The fact that they are banned from their hometown's church is horrible. The place they, and their family, practically gave their lives to, and now can't walk through the door of the home they grew up in, or their home church, is despicable. Church is supposed to be a place where you feel loved, and they got betrayed by it.
What are you talking about church and work are 2 separate places. When you choose to become a priest you need to make sacrifices. A priest is supposed to be an example for others. I don't need to explain this but obviously any music other than christian music is a sin. Now it doesn't matter if someone doesn't listen to christian music, but how can a PRIEST stand up and preach people if he doesn't follow the bible himself. Nothing wrong if he wants to be in a band, but it means he needs to stop preaching. Besides how can u not feel bad for the people attending the church? They're trying to live holy lives and they find out what they're own priest is doing? It makes you question everything. If u can't trust your own priest it makes you question the church and then it makes you question God. Very scary.

My observation :
Joe wanted to act have his OWN band
Nick wanted to be famous, sing and write songs
Kevin wanted to be DIFFERENT. Be a filmmaker, a gymnast or a guitarist.
And he has a lovely family of his own that all of the jonas loves them. Its not logical when you love your nieces and ask kevin to drop it all out.
He also wanted to just be a Dad when his kids were so young. I can't hate on him for that.

I think this video misrepresented that a bit. In the full documentary Joe finished that conversation by saying that now he totally gets it and that was a dumb thing to be mad about. They were all at different stages of their lives and mindsets and Joe and Nick couldn’t understand the concept of caring about more than just their music and career. Now they are way more healthily balanced and all have
more similar priorities.

He used to be. I was also put off by his attitude, but he seemed like the type of greedy man that wanted to be at the top no matter what. However, when he got there, he realized it didn't make him happy at all without his brothers, so being at the top alone and throwing your bros under the bus to get there obviously wasn't a good idea. It's good that he realized that in time though. Would suck if his bros never forgave him or they ended up not talking to one another properly ever again

Kevin has always been misunderstood and I think that needs to change. Kevin is a great person and he didn't deserve any of what they said and described.
Nick was always my favourite jonas brother growing up and watching the documentary really made me see him differently. Im trying really hard not to dislike him because they opened up about their lives and their stories so I dont want to be judgemental but nick was self-centered and had a huge ego. As a child we could just chalk it up to confidence but I think it was clear once he got older that he was vain and narcissistic
Kevin was practically ignored the whole time in the OG jonas era and it broke my heart because I didn't see how talented and awesome he was the first time around. I always thought that Joe was the lead singer and the front man but he was so insecure and just following in Nick's shadow. I really appreciate how talented they all are individually now. Joe is a sweetheart with amazing vocals; Kevin was a shy guy who loves the little things and now has a great show presence due to his msd guitar skills and Nick appreciates his family and he wants to have fun with them whilst continuing to live his dream doing something he loves that hes really good at.

Anne Day I lived with a narcissist for six years. They most definitely will admit they are wrong if it advances their own agenda. Nick does give off narcissistic vibes. I always tell my husband now that I can’t even stand to see Nick talking because his whole countenance, the way he moves and speaks, his overconfidence, it’s all wrong.

When I was seven my older sister had a Jonas brother themed party and my mom passed out plates with their faces on them. My sister got Joe, and all of her friends got either Joe or Nick. My mother left me and my twin sister with the two Kevin plates and my sister and her friends laughed at us because we were left with Kevin. I was so peeved that I refused to eat the birthday cake.
Now I all I wanna do is go back and apologize to the Kevin Jonas plate that deserved better.

Kayla W Well Joe and Nick have always been more supportive of each other. Whether it was Broadway's shows, solo careers, movies, or DNCE. Or those diabetes awareness marathons that Nick was apart of, Nick and Joe have always been there for each other. They also lived together as young adults. So obviously they are going to be closer.
when it comes to siblings everyone has a sibling they’re closer to. that’s just how it works. there are 4 jonas brothers and i’m sure they all love each other the same but sometimes you have a sibling that you can just connect with more than another. i also have three other siblings, plus me that makes four. and i’m closest with my first brother but i’m close to all of them and we all have our own type of friendship. but me and my brother were just around each other for so long, just us before our other two siblings were born, and that makes us closer, and its honestly not even about being closer, it’s just a different relationship. there’s nothing wrong with that.

Lauren Conrad in the documentary Frankie says he’s their biggest fan and knows all their songs, but I honestly think deep down growing up was probably hard on him.
It's really sad to see they got mocked for their purity rings. Like that is a choice and if you choose to have sex if it should be respected just like deciding to wait till marriage or for the one true love. Not only that but like the fact that they had to move churches. Like those people are supposed to be about love and acceptance and then they are the most judgemental people. It's also sad to see how hurt Kevin was because he was underappreciated by fans but his part in the jonas brothers does make a difference.

I just like how Joe's clothes matched his state of mood and aura throughout the documentary. He started out all dark thick leather, brooding and closed off, still not recovered from the heartbreak and not ready to forgive. But slowly his clothes started looking more casual; loose, soft, light in hues. His face also slowly softened, smiling a little more and less shadows clouding his eyes and face. The journey they had during that documentary was very visible and authentic.
In this documentary I realized how much Kevin deserved and deserves better.
Now I appreciate and love him so much

Poor Kevin bullied in school and there were fans who would rip on him too. He seems like such a sweet, sensitive, shy guy. I think it's a lesson everyone should learn... be careful how you talk to people. You never know what they're going through or what they'll grow up to be. Kevin gets the last laugh now. However ain't too crazy about him supporting Trump but that's his thing not mine.

I have mad love for Nick, and I know a lot of people see him a little more uptight because of this. He's like the straight A student that loves doing most of the work in creative group projects, but feels too pressured and like the brothers aren't pulling in enough effort as him once the project becomes routine. So it begins to stress him out and he pulls away to move on to solo projects. He's feeling good about himself and like he can freely do anything because he's not worried about anyone else's role anymore, only to look to his sides and realize he misses the fun aspect of his brothers being right there with him to shine. He really is the most creative and talented vocally and musically. Kevin is the best guitarist, and Joe had the most charisma to pull it all in as a lead. That's what Nick is like to me. He knows he good, but it aint shit without his family by his side and I think he realizes he'd rather have fun with Joe and Kevin than to have fun alone.
@JonasLovato91 It's a good thing it happened. If that break didn't happen they wouldn't have the time to reflect on themselves and figure out how to communicate better. I love them. Even the way Nick treats his nieces shows how much love he has for his family. People don't give him enough credit.

You know what touched me the most? Kevin talking about how he wants his kids to see that he can do something awesome. That he isn't just their dad, but an amazing performer. Made me tear up.

I think joe was more hurt over the break up and seeing him tear up like that makes me have more respect for him than anything also the deal with Kevin really made me upset cuz he didn't have any respect from no one and I cried when he mentioned he was bullied and on to nick. He was my favorite jonas brother but I'm really upset that he was the one that broke them up but I'm glad he came out and now the jonas brothers are back so at least they will stay together hopefully

I was always a kevin fan back in middle school but now after this documentary people are finally looking at kevin😭 he really is a cinnamon roll and im soo happy that after all hes been through ( bullying, outcasted by his brothers at one point) that it didnt taint his awsome heart.
Like imagine feeling left out your entire life and your only safe haven was your brothers but even THEN you become a shadow to your own flesh and blood is heart breaking

TBH as much as I admire Kevin for putting his family first. When you're in a band, you're with different people. And considering that he was the chief guitar player of the band, you have to understand that their are moving parts to this machine and you can't have a machine function well if one of the parts just stops working. You have to understand Joe and Nicks perspective as well. They wanted to make more music but they couldn't because their brother wanted to be devoted to his family life, which is lovely, but that's generally not how bands work. When a situation like this arises people quit the band and usually recruit another player or continue with the remaining members. So I think before bashing the other 2 it's important to understand their perspective too. Just because one brother decided to settle down doesn't necessarily translate to the other brothers as well.
I agree. People have to take into account the fact that having a family is not a free pass to slide out of your work, even if your co-workers are your siblings. Any professional musician in a band that stops doing their job to standard or contributing will eventually be out. It's not fair to dis his brothers because they expected him to actually be a functioning part of the band. They felt like they didn't get any passion or any real contribution to the band from him, yet he was still in the band and benefiting from their hard work. This was their careers as well and it was clear to them that Kevin wasn't as into it or pulling his weight. I do understand their clear resentment at the time towards him. Kevin's prioritizing his married family is fine and noble, until it affects others who are relying on him too.

What I loved about the documentary was All for One and One for All. Nick started out but then he united with his brothers for a band. The parents devoted and sacrificed their lives for the boys and the boys' reciprocate the love. And now the new additions to the family add to the togetherness instead of bringing gaps!
