Schiermonnikoog 10-08-2022

Schiermonnikoog is the fifth inhabited Dutch Wadden Sea island, counting from the west, and belongs to the Dutch province of Friesland. The island is also a municipality with the same name. The number of inhabitants as of 31 January 2022 was: 943 (source: CBS). This makes Schiermonnikoog the smallest municipality in the Netherlands in terms of population, and it is also the municipality with the lowest population density in the Netherlands. The highest dune top is 20 metres.
The municipality lives mainly from tourism. The island is praised for its tranquillity, which is maintained, among other things, by the fact that visitors have to leave their cars on the mainland in the harbour of Lauwersoog.

Bedankt voor de mooie fietstocht over Schier.En met zulk mooi zomerweer,dan is Schier op zijn mooist
Doch de herhaling van de begeleidende muziek,daar gaat zeer snel vervelen.Dan liever het omgevingsgeluid alleen.Zoals vanaf rond 15.00.
