How many meters and total number of cords will I need if I use 3mm twisted cord for making same size runner? I needed to make it urgently 😭💖 I love this pattern...

Exactly my question! 😀 My husband wants a handmade cloth for our bedside table as a trail of me left around in the house 😁 and I am taking up this project now that I'm pregnant and cannot move around much
7m rope, equals 1m rug. So perhaps measure the cloth size you want and then times 7 for the rope length?

For this project it’s required 280 meters cotton rope, so you need in total 3 rolls, each roll 100 meters. Good luck 👍

New macrame-ist here…I want to do new rugs for my kitchen so bad, but I’m wondering…how do you wash macrame rugs? I throw my kitchen rugs in the washer every couple weeks. I probably couldn’t do this with macrame rugs, huh?

If i want to change colour from square knot (24:45) do I cut it and attach new rope and then same thing at the botom ? (It will be my first project) 😊

Hi Anita, after first diamond I made down 47 rows of square knot in total, then I started to make the second diamond, please make sure from begging you replace the cord in the middle I already mentioned in the video both part needs to be 350 meters so in total is 7 meters one cord, otherwise you’ll get one cord shorter another longer, I made this mistake so I got some shorter cord, if yours cords are same size for sure you can add +3 more rows of square knot then you can start with second diamond. You need to cut 40 cords which are each 7 meters long and 5mm thick (I used thinner cords, the rug will just be a bit smaller probably). The final rug will be around 103cm (length) x 54cm (width). Hope this helps.
a little confused as i went through the comment sectiom. somewhere you said you are using 3mm rope whereas your video says 5mm. im new to macrame. your reply would be very helpful

I need HELP !!!! Everytime I make any type of "Mesh" that SHOULD be square; (square knots) the right side starts to bow out so it's no longer square/rectangle, W.E.. I'm NOT doing anything different where it bows out....curves to the right. WTH???? WHAt am I doing WRONG?? It doesn't matter what pattern I use. I can make plant hangers no problem!

Você precisa cortar 40 cabos que são cada 7 metros de comprimento. Devido ao nó da cabeça das cotovias (o primeiro nó a amarrá-las à cavilha), os fios terão cerca de 3,5 metros de comprimento quando pendurados para baixo. & nbsp; eu usei um tradutor para escrever isso, espero que a resposta faz sentido xD

Mine is 3mm thicker, I won’t recommend thicker then 3mm.
