Another great video. You are a very good teacher, Katie. You make everything so clear. The production standards of the video are so high, too, so thanks to the production "team" (of one, I gather! 😊).
Haha yes. My husband does everything other than the skating. I definitely think I’ve got the easy job. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I shall pass it on x
Hello Katie! thanks for this video! I wanted to ask you what types of skates you have or recommend being able to do jumps. I roller skated artistically when I was young, now I am doing it again and I need new skates. I saw there are many brands, indoor, outdoor or dancing but I don't know if they are all good for jumping professionally, what could you recommend? I am in the US, thank you!
If you want to do artistic jumps you’ll need a good supportive well fitting boot and responsive plate. I’d look at professional boots Edea, Risport, Harlic, Riedell and then Roll-Line plates.
@@Skatie I never heard of it either. A coach from Canada teaches what is called a Star Program and one the skills is a Mohawk Jump. I asked her to show me. Its basically doing a Mohawk but in the flow of a Jump.
Oh Katie, why do they always look so easy! Every time it's "yeah, I can do that!" (completely ignoring the bit about the fundamentals) and then I put my skates on... Hmmmm, maybe I am not quite ready yet... or maybe you should start an insurance scheme we can join, lol. Thanks again (S)Katie!
I don’t understand why you don’t have more views: concise, informative, well-explained, and great video quality and ending. Perfection
Thank you so much for the kind comment. We are only a year old so still growing (hopefully!)
I have no doubt this will be one of the most watched channels on UA-cam for skating. Word is getting out. It will certainly grow!!!!
So grateful for your videos! Learning roller derby but also want to learn rhythm and basic skills like this.

I guess this is suitable for ice skates? ^^ also thanks for your positivity 🙏
Yes I’d say so. I used to ice skate too and the skills transpose quite well.
Yesssss, another thing i need to learn
It’s good fun. Just make sure you’ve got your fundamentals first xx happy rolling 👍💕🛼
I can do this one but i still don't feel confident doing it. Thanks for this video! I need to drill this move.
The jumps are definitely good fun but very challenging. Keep practicing, you’ll get it. 🛼💕😀⭐️

Thank you so much. Needed this. Can you please do a Mohawk jump? Have you heard of this type of jump?
I’ve heard of a Mohawk turn but not a Mohawk jump? I think it’s referred to as a c turn now instead of using a cultural name.

😂 this comment is my favourite. 😂💕🛼👍. I totally get it, I watch the Olympics all like “how hard can a quad be?” Nah……. Maybe next time. 😂
What type of skates are you wearing?
Hi. These are a custom setup of Risport dance boots on a roll-line dance plate. A similar beginner skate would be the rookie artistics.
