@@johnbarry1965 I was the sound operator on the show and also did some recording in a studio with him on a project he was working on, as well as doing the sound for our press night party that he and his jazz band played. Did you see the show?
@@PostcardAndAPint Alas I was not there but have seen some fabulous productions at Theatre Clwyd which i really do believe is the jewel of Flintshire. I believe Hamlet was Terry Hands last production which me and my wife were fortunate to see - Brilliant!!!!
@@johnbarry1965 excellent! I was sound designer for that show. It was a really great production!!!….sorry, didn’t realise I was logged into my Postcard and a Pint account. Cheers, Wills
His voice is very different in this interview, wonder if it was a consequence of his illness. Tremendous talent, even in interviews he had such camera presence. Will always remember seeing him as Macbeth in a school video.
Love his voice…powerful actor…looks like he was wearing a retainer, some sort of orthodontia in this very well presented interview.
His voice got so deep later in his life.
Powerful presence
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Fabulous production!!
It really was. I was very lucky to be a part of it. Thanks for watching.

Did he move to the states? Cos his accent sounds more transatlantic than when he was young.

Thank you for your comment. I was lucky enough to have worked on this show, and to do some other work with Nicol, he truly was one of the greats!
He smoked 4 packs a day and drank brandy like tap water
Well, I know who I would've cast in the Vivian Stanshall biopic...
If you call Ron Burgundy, you’d have a completely different play.
ROSEBUD!!
Just saw that "Columbo" clip. Good episode, Williamson was chilling.
