I've always been curious about Saba. For a moment, I thought that he might have been a fallen soldier that fought for Zordon and was reincarnated as Tommy's talking saber and the White TigerZord was a extension of who he was.

After the ThunderZords got destroyed on the beginning of season 3 of MMPR, Saba barely or didn't said anything at all and just a weapon ever since that time. In a way, the White TigerZord in battle mode was a modified version of who Saba was in his former life. Once the zord was gone, his life force slowly, but eventually diminished. It's just one of my weird theories, but anything is possible.
Dragon Dagger wasn't "vaporized" the Green Ranger power's were just drained so he couldn't use them. Remember it was brought back with Tommy's clone and the Green Ranger Powers
Yeah the Dragonzord and Dragon Dagger are actually separate to the Green Ranger's Powers considering several times through Power Rangers we see other characters use the Dagger without the Green Power Coin to control the Dragonzord. Goldar, Jason and the Tommy clone Tom Oliver all control the Dragonzord.
I know it was technically for evil, but that Sword of Darkness was pretty sweet. Otherwise, I loved Zach’s axe. Always thought it was an underrated weapon.

Though I think Kim's weapon was also pretty badass considering how tv tropes describes it: "the Pink Ranger carries around, as her standard weapon, a lightweight easy-to-use rocket-powered grenade launcher with unlimited ammunition.". (they forgot to mention those "rockets" are self-guided, since one arrow swerved around trees to kill Terror Toad)
If I could pick any Power Ranger weapon, I would probably go with the Mighty Morphin Black Ranger’s Power Axe. I love the brute strength that comes with the weapon and also like how it can be turned into a blaster cannon
Saba is always going to be in my top three boy the spiral saber the Andros used in Power Rangers in space would be awesome with an Astro blaster. When I was a kid I had the quasar Saber I would love for Hasbro to make a replica in the future.
I made my own saba out of foam board and I also made the dragon dagger twice once out of foam board the other being 3D printed I just can’t afford the real deal ones so I tried making my own

Saba has always been my weapon of choice. Magnum Defender's sword, too, since it's a blaster and a sword. The Shadow Blade is my third favorite, but it's more due to the Shadow Ranger himself rather than the actual sword.

I’ve always really liked the Power Daggers from MMPR & the Satellite Stunner from PRIS. Power Daggers for close combat, Satellite Stunner because with Lightstar Helmet mode, it’s a heat seeking device used to scope out invisible enemies! Also, bonus the entire arsenal from Dairenja, Kakurenja, and Shinkenja.
I'm surprised you didn't mention how Saba and the white power was created in the comics, as well as it's comic encounter with Tommy where it pretended to be mind controlled by Lord Zedd (even taking a sick evil black form).
I actually got to meet Saba; although, it was just a penguin named Saba at an aquarium. I still find it funny to this day! Hmm... If I could have any weapon from Power Rangers, I think I'd have to go with MagnaDefender's Sword/Blaster. MagnaDefender has ALWAYS been one of my favorite Rangers, and he's got one of THE COOLEST looking Swords in the show!
I'd take the Golden Power Staff from Zeo. Bot only is it a sweet ranged and melee weapon, it lets you morph into one of the coolest suits, and command a giant flying pyramid as a zord.
The creation of the White Ranger's powers in the world of the coinless is different so we can pretty much say there are two origins for Saba. (Check out the other Power Rangers comic to find this comment accurate) In the world of the coinless... When Tommy chose the path with Rita, Zordon sent Jason on a mission to find Ninjor. When Jason found the hidden sanctuary of Ninjor, to find the Light of Goodness as a power source. Ninjor gave Jason an impossible challenge to test if he is worthy, but Jason figured out that Ninjor is just making excuses to turn his back on the world and when he decided to leave the sanctuary, Ninjor said to Jason, "Just because the Light of Goodness *don't* exist, doesn't mean it *CANNOT* exist" so Jason went back to Zordon with Ninjor to begin the creation of the white ranger. You guys can compare the story of how the creation of the white ranger happened in the show. This is just an additional fact, the Saba of the coinless universe wasn't originally made for Tommy but instead for Jason. And Drakkon destroyed that version of Saba. In conclusion, if the white light of goodness doesn't exist in that timeline, it is safe to assume that their Saba wasn't a sentient being unlike the Saba in the main universe.

I still have my classic Saba from 199X floating around somewhere, but I never got my hands on a Dragon Dagger as a kid :( I saw one once in a BIG LOTS of all places marked down to like $15, but I had no cash and my grandma refused to buy it, I was so sad.
Agreed, Saba is awesome. I've seen a replica sever years ago at Walmart that was die casted so it had weight to it. I regret not buying it since I had a toy version when I was a kid. :(
I like versatility in a weapon so for a side arm I'd go with the Astro Blaster from In Space and as a primary weapon I'd go with the Magna Blaster from Lost Galaxy
I really enjoy all of the power ranger shows that we've ever gotten thus far. And the one idea i ever thought about was given tomy got to be apart of so many ranger teams, the last being dino thunder as the black ranger. What if somehow the new form he became, saba was given the new weapon form of the weapon he used, which also gave saba a new zord and multiple weapon forms. And given that tomy gets the master morpher to be every ranger form he ever had, Saba was reborn yet again and becomes every weapon tomy uses, which would mean saba was now connected to every zord tomy had ever used. It's just something I've thought about as saba has been connected with tomy since the white ranger powers, and the master morpher would be the ultimate connection piece to the bond they had.
I love the battle axe. It’s a strong melee weapon as well as a massive energy cannon. Maybe it even shoots ice since it’s power is probably accessed through the spirit of the Mastodon via the Morphing Grid. Then I would Pack-A-Punch that bad boy and it’s a wrap
I find it amazing the rangers no matter which ranger seems to have been fully trained in a matter of seconds and automatically knows how to operate zords, morph, and use weapons
How about in the Disney seasons when, as soon as they morphed once, they become black belt level fighters UNmorphed in every following fight, even if they had no previous martial arts experience. Well, except maybe in RPM. Ziggy took a good while to become a competent fighter, even when morphed, if I remember correctly.
@@Kal-El1981 Probably depends on the season or powers. For example, Billy didn't start kicking around Putties unmorphed till... season 2, I think. Though I imagine he would've been the first to figure out how to pilot his zord unmorphed if he'd had to , what with him being a genius even in his teens (hell, he was building zords and dimensional portals before college! Lol)

Aside from the dragon dagger or Saba Trents Drago Sword or Tommy’s Bracho Staff from Dino Thunder are insanely powerful but I would also love the Zeo Gold Power Staff
I would chose to wield either a Quasar sabre as I have always loved the design of the sword, or either the Lunar Cue or Cresent blade wielded by Merrick/ Zen Aku as both weapons look awesome but also offer both ranged and Melee attacks.
Saba has always been a very cool weapon and I got to admit that this video was really entertaining. The information is great and hearing your thoughts and feeling about Saba being your favorite weapon was neat to hear. As for your question on what Ranger weapon I would want to have in my collection, I guess I would like to have Tommy Oliver's Brachiosaurus staff or even the Red Quasar Sabor.
I had this white Power Ranger sword when I was a little kid, but then I still paid in German marks.And the sword had three buttons that worked, where you could press them and make noises.

Without a doubt I'd choose Saba. White Ranger has always been my favorite and swords are my favorite weapon. If not Saba my second choice would be Jason's Power Sword.
I had the Saba Dagger when I was a kid. It was the one item I wanted for Christmas the year it came out because Tommy was my favorite ranger growing up green or white didn't matter. I remember being at Toys R Us with my family wanting my dad to buy it for me, and he refused to buy it. I proceeded to cry and tell him that he didn't love me and he never bought me anything I wanted. Being a real brat I know smh. What I didn't know is that my dad already had Saba in the shopping cart and he was hiding it from me as a surprise for Christmas. When he pulled out the cart I began to cry for a different reason, I was so ashamed that I had embarrassed my family in front of these people in public. From that day forward I never asked for anything for Christmas I would just say whatever you want to buy me I'm good with it. It was humbling experience. The sad thing is I don't even remember playing with Saba and till this day still don't know what happened to it.
If we’re just going for favourites then it would have to be the dragon dagger. But if we’re talking power then it would have to be the sceptre of the Gold Zeo Ranger. You don’t get more more powerful and his outfit looked great.
The weapon I would choose is the Shark Sword from Power Rangers Samurai. It comes with a sick vest and can summon a the Shark Zord. Not to mention in can expand allowing it to kill many enemy's in one strike.
My fav is the Green Dagger. Always loved it. Green Ranger was always my fav. I still got all 5 episodes of the Green Ranger Saga on VHS at my mom's lol.

On a side note if I could have any of the Power Rangers weapons I would have to pick Psycho Ranger Red's sword, I don't like the spiral guard but the blade if functional and black is one of my favorite colors.
I would most likely be an Red Wolf Samurai Ranger. So i would probably pick one of the Samurai Ranger Swords. The Weapon from the 6th Wild Force Ranger would also be cool.

I would like the Drill Blaster, from PR/OO, as my weapon of choice. A cement cannon and a drill combo. I even designed a Transformer, who's vehicle mode is a cement truck with a drill.
Saba was there to help Koh the little kid disguise himself as an older teenager when he was the White Kiba Ranger in Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Sadly it doesn't make sense for Tommy to have a talking sword only to have the sword disappear and never mentioned again during Season 3 of MMPR. Oh and that first time Tommy used the White Tiger Sword. Well that mishap happened because when Koh tried to wake up the White Kiba Beast, it was only just born and the White Kiba tripped over until Koh and Saba decided to team up and tame the baby White Kiba Beast. To understand all the confusing stuff from MMPR, it is best to look at the Japanese original series where the footage originally came from.
Great video. You should do more videos about the weapons an also the zords b4 they combine and what kinda abilities or special stuff they can do . For example the frog zord can use its tongue and etc.
Saba is a living sword that helps Tommy controls the Tigerzord, introduced during the second half of season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He even has the ability to speak. Sadly, with the power coins destroyed by Goldar, Saba is gone forever.
I always thought he was the embodiment or the spiritual entity of the White Tiger Zord and when the white tiger Zord blew up alongside with the Thunder Megazord , his spirit was vanquished forever and therefore only his physical embodiment in the form of the sabre is what remained and therefore he was nothing more than a weapon
@VVV953 This is a great theory indeed. It's true after the thunder zords were destroyed, Saba no longer speaks. Like you said, only his physical vessel remains while his soul/spirit departed with the death of the thunder zords.
The sword of power is interesting. But I don't think we learned enough about it in the show. I guess I's choose the Omega Morpher from SPD since it is both a morpher and a weapon. That way I could also morph.
Weapon to have, for me it's gotta be the Gold Ranger Staff. Melee and ranged, plus the weapon of the King Ranger!? Hands down will always be my first choice.
RW:there was a time that ive bought both The Dragon Dagger and Saba the Tiger Sword from GAMESTOP a few years ago i had them for once in my life(they were both expensive to buy but i had the money for both) i rly had them,but not for very long cause due to my mom when she threw them both including my toys away ,she has no idea how hard it was to buy them,i will never forget or forgive her to what she's done to my (hard to get )possessions in life 😭😭

I choose to believe he started his own power rangers team of all white rangers (suit color not race) that got to an awkward start when the sword didn't know any better and dubbed them the "White Power Rangers" (a quip happening about how his maker Zordon didn't understand the concept of races and made the MMPR team's color scheme what they were unknowingly) then they changed the name immediately, he apologizes, and everything is cool and they never mention the incident with the name again and become a super awesome force for good in the galaxy, Saba himself weirdly becoming their sixth ranger and going through an arc where he prefers the arms and legs of his ranger form, but he can't stay in it much because it affects the power supply of the team.

I find it amazing the rangers no matter which ranger seems to have been fully trained in a matter of seconds and automatically knows how to operate zords, morph, and use weapons
How about in the Disney seasons when, as soon as they morphed once, they become black belt level fighters UNmorphed in every following fight, even if they had no previous martial arts experience. Well, except maybe in RPM. Ziggy took a good while to become a competent fighter, even when morphed, if I remember correctly.
I always assumed that, once the powers are activated, they transfer all that knowledge to the Rangers.
@@Kal-El1981 Probably depends on the season or powers. For example, Billy didn't start kicking around Putties unmorphed till... season 2, I think. Though I imagine he would've been the first to figure out how to pilot his zord unmorphed if he'd had to , what with him being a genius even in his teens (hell, he was building zords and dimensional portals before college! Lol)

Can't live without original set each weapon represented each rangers dinosaur closely . Power bow light spectrum attacks and power axe Cannon single use was the best show offs on the show
Aside from the dragon dagger or Saba Trents Drago Sword or Tommy’s Bracho Staff from Dino Thunder are insanely powerful but I would also love the Zeo Gold Power Staff
I would chose to wield either a Quasar sabre as I have always loved the design of the sword, or either the Lunar Cue or Cresent blade wielded by Merrick/ Zen Aku as both weapons look awesome but also offer both ranged and Melee attacks.
Quasar sabres were definitely dope!
Saba has always been a very cool weapon and I got to admit that this video was really entertaining. The information is great and hearing your thoughts and feeling about Saba being your favorite weapon was neat to hear.
As for your question on what Ranger weapon I would want to have in my collection, I guess I would like to have Tommy Oliver's Brachiosaurus staff or even the Red Quasar Sabor.
My favorite weapon was the Gold Ranger Power Staff. I don't know why but it was one of the weapons that always stood out the most to me
I had this white Power Ranger sword when I was a little kid, but then I still paid in German marks.And the sword had three buttons that worked, where you could press them and make noises.

Without a doubt I'd choose Saba. White Ranger has always been my favorite and swords are my favorite weapon. If not Saba my second choice would be Jason's Power Sword.
I had the Saba Dagger when I was a kid. It was the one item I wanted for Christmas the year it came out because Tommy was my favorite ranger growing up green or white didn't matter. I remember being at Toys R Us with my family wanting my dad to buy it for me, and he refused to buy it. I proceeded to cry and tell him that he didn't love me and he never bought me anything I wanted. Being a real brat I know smh. What I didn't know is that my dad already had Saba in the shopping cart and he was hiding it from me as a surprise for Christmas. When he pulled out the cart I began to cry for a different reason, I was so ashamed that I had embarrassed my family in front of these people in public. From that day forward I never asked for anything for Christmas I would just say whatever you want to buy me I'm good with it. It was humbling experience. The sad thing is I don't even remember playing with Saba and till this day still don't know what happened to it.
I would choose the original MMPR daggers. You can keep them in a holster, and morph them into a blaster. Versatile and convenient.

Power Ax would be my weapon of choice. Melee weapon with a blaster feature, plus some ground striking control. Yup, that's it for me.

If we’re just going for favourites then it would have to be the dragon dagger. But if we’re talking power then it would have to be the sceptre of the Gold Zeo Ranger. You don’t get more more powerful and his outfit looked great.
The weapon I would choose is the Shark Sword from Power Rangers Samurai. It comes with a sick vest and can summon a the Shark Zord. Not to mention in can expand allowing it to kill many enemy's in one strike.

On a side note if I could have any of the Power Rangers weapons I would have to pick Psycho Ranger Red's sword, I don't like the spiral guard but the blade if functional and black is one of my favorite colors.

I would most likely be an Red Wolf Samurai Ranger. So i would probably pick one of the Samurai Ranger Swords. The Weapon from the 6th Wild Force Ranger would also be cool.

I would like the Drill Blaster, from PR/OO, as my weapon of choice. A cement cannon and a drill combo. I even designed a Transformer, who's vehicle mode is a cement truck with a drill.
A vid on Tommy and how he knew about the Dino gems / black Dino ranger powers would be cool.
Saba was there to help Koh the little kid disguise himself as an older teenager when he was the White Kiba Ranger in Gosei Sentai Dairanger.
Sadly it doesn't make sense for Tommy to have a talking sword only to have the sword disappear and never mentioned again during Season 3 of MMPR.
Oh and that first time Tommy used the White Tiger Sword.
Well that mishap happened because when Koh tried to wake up the White Kiba Beast, it was only just born and the White Kiba tripped over until Koh and Saba decided to team up and tame the baby White Kiba Beast.
To understand all the confusing stuff from MMPR, it is best to look at the Japanese original series where the footage originally came from.
Great video. You should do more videos about the weapons an also the zords b4 they combine and what kinda abilities or special stuff they can do . For example the frog zord can use its tongue and etc.
I remember having a toy Saba as a kid. I must have had two, we sold one on ebay years ago for a decent price.
They released a replica version years ago. Was a Toys R Us special through the Legacy line. I picked it up soon as it came out
it was already reproduced as a full size prop replica as part of the legacy series several years ago. voice effects as well.

Saba is a living sword that helps Tommy controls the Tigerzord, introduced during the second half of season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He even has the ability to speak. Sadly, with the power coins destroyed by Goldar, Saba is gone forever.

I always thought he was the embodiment or the spiritual entity of the White Tiger Zord and when the white tiger Zord blew up alongside with the Thunder Megazord , his spirit was vanquished forever and therefore only his physical embodiment in the form of the sabre is what remained and therefore he was nothing more than a weapon
@VVV953 This is a great theory indeed. It's true after the thunder zords were destroyed, Saba no longer speaks. Like you said, only his physical vessel remains while his soul/spirit departed with the death of the thunder zords.
Brought saba to school Halloween 2nd grade. Made sure I stood out after the Red ranger clone war from the previous year.
The sword of power is interesting. But I don't think we learned enough about it in the show. I guess I's choose the Omega Morpher from SPD since it is both a morpher and a weapon. That way I could also morph.

RW:there was a time that ive bought both The Dragon Dagger and Saba the Tiger Sword from GAMESTOP a few years ago i had them for once in my life(they were both expensive to buy but i had the money for both) i rly had them,but not for very long cause due to my mom when she threw them both including my toys away ,she has no idea how hard it was to buy them,i will never forget or forgive her to what she's done to my (hard to get )possessions in life 😭😭

Saba is a cool name for a sword! It sounds like the name of a brave samurai, like Tommy himself!
I choose to believe he started his own power rangers team of all white rangers (suit color not race) that got to an awkward start when the sword didn't know any better and dubbed them the "White Power Rangers" (a quip happening about how his maker Zordon didn't understand the concept of races and made the MMPR team's color scheme what they were unknowingly) then they changed the name immediately, he apologizes, and everything is cool and they never mention the incident with the name again and become a super awesome force for good in the galaxy, Saba himself weirdly becoming their sixth ranger and going through an arc where he prefers the arms and legs of his ranger form, but he can't stay in it much because it affects the power supply of the team.
If I can choose any weapon I would go with the magna blaster because it's a sword and gun

I would love a Lightning Collection Saba, but I know Bandai of America did Release a Legacy Saba prior to the Hasbro take over for the toyline and show.
