- This is my first hatchery steelhead caught in the VEDDER. Tried soft beads and plastic beads from the start but it did not work for me, but when i switched to my self tied bugs ( jig flies ) i got my fish of the day. a hatchery fish and safely returned to the water... Catching this specie here in the Vedder, for me is not very easy.
Wow, that's a nice one. Congrats.
Thanks Kuya Ross. Tight lines!👊
Hey guys! The long wait is over. Here’s the first one on the Vedder. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

Self tied bro. Thanks.
What lbs line and gms float? Did you use inline weight or splitshots? Thanks for sharing.
I used 8 lbs drennan fly leader, 25 gms float and few split shots. Thanks for watching. Tight lines…
@@WynricksFishingAdventures thanks split shot also like 25 gms of less. All shots bunched near swivel or spread?
@@Videona I only used 5-6 split shot coz I still have weights below my floats ( before swivel ) btw I am talking about my stone fly jigs rig.

I eat steelhead but not that one, that’s my very first in Vedder. Thanks.
Way to go releasing that hatchery! I released my first hatchery of the year back in January.
Nice one Kuya.
Thanks Ian.

Kausap mo yata si Fishing with Rod lol😂
Thanks bosing. Lol.
Great fight from those fish. That’s some fast water you’re fishing, a little bit different than the eastern tributaries.
That’s right Adrian, that river is different from the eastern tribs and for me a bit harder to fish. Lol. Thanks for watching my friend.
Sayang ang hatchery bai...InonOnan na onta😂
Tagaan to siyag chance kay unang kuha, next time kinilaw na. Lol. Thanks bay.
That hook looks barbed.
It’s a barbless size 6 jig hook.
