I do not want to attract golddiggers chicks by going to these fancy clubs or restaurants. I prefer the smaller clubs and "cheaper" bars where the locals go. Olga: perhaps you can make a video about those bars too. It is much more difficult to find those places compairing with the places you mentionned and you can not find them on Tripadvisor.
That's what I wanted to say. This video should be called "places you need to avoid to find good girls and not being robbed"
There are many (and there were many more in the past) pubs with live music like the Porter chain or Dockers, plus many others hidden here and there. Boichka for example has amazing beer, it's very central (still competitive prices) and after the live music there's karaoke.
I would feel a fool going to Kiev and spend 100 dollars to sit at a table with golddiggers and bad music... That I can find in other countries as well.
I went to the Buddha Bar near independence square. I had a great time and met a great girl. Dmitry the bartender was awesome too

I went to DLux nightclub and I had a great time. I read some comments about them having some strict face control so I was a little skeptical about going but I had no issues getting in. Seems like they are more lax now days.

The SKYBAR in the City are clothing in the Sommertime. Then the SKYBAR are open at a Beach at the River. I was September 2018.

Well, basically all mentioned clubs are quite fancy/posh. Many people (including myself) don't really like such kind of clubs because of different reasons. One reason is that usually there are a lot of gold diggers and "wannabes" (not the best company one can imagine...), another reason is the dresscode those clubs usually have. I personally set a high value on my appearance (women usually like my style) and I also don't mind wearing a shirt (altough I prefer nice T-shirts because they are more comfortable) but I don't like when I HAVE TO wear a shirt or even a suit to get into a certain place - such rules are superficial and outdated in my opinion.
I've been to Arena and Sky Bar when I was in Kiev - not bad and for one night it was fine but wouldn't wanna go there regularly. There are for sure better (and more down-to-earth) clubs and bars in Kiev :)

Because I live in Norway witch is very expensive to live in and I have a good job I also have more money to spend on vacation then people from other country's in general, but u make it seem like If I don`t spend 1000 euro every day I should not go there. It is sad because you may be the reason some people change their mind about going! Hmm... if you are comparing Ukrainian girls to Norwegians/Swedish, then Ukraine is probably not your best choice.
Don't be too disappointed if you can't get into any these nightclubs.
They are way too popular and bouncers will definitely judge by your appearance and looks.
Face control is uncommon. So being loaded with cash isn't going to be enough for an entry.

I am not from there but I think you can't compare Russian approach to gay people with the Ukrainian one. Kiev especially is a huge city, people are easy going and the only problem for you will be that there are too many girls and too few guys :P

I'm thinking of visiting a friend who lives in Ukraine and I am unsure what language will be best to learn. Like what language will I need to know to be able to navigate on my own?
I have read Russian will get you around, Ukranian is similar to Russian but different but Ukranians can understand it and speak it.
It also depends on where you are going. Generally speaking, western Ukraine speaks Ukrainian, eastern Ukraine speaks mostly Russian, and Kyiv/central Ukraine is more split. (However, I'm speaking as a foreigner who has never been, just basing that information on what I've learned online, so anybody reading this, feel free to correct me.) But why don't you just ask your friend which language would be best to learn? He or she should know.

hello Olga, I watch some of your videos and I find them amusing. I don't know what village you live in Ukraine but you certainly don't live in Kiev. I come to Kiev for 3 months every year and this is only my 2nd year doing it and I seem to know much more about the club scene than you.
Arena City is an absolute shitty place to go. It is the place that all the locals tell the tourists to go to, to purposely not send them to the cool bars and clubs. You will find nothing but strip clubs and Arab muslims running around Arena City. It is a place for derelicts and it sucks big time. Maybe Arena City was the shit 20 or 30 years ago, but its only trading on its old reputation now, it's a has-been dump.
