Lucille Ball. Carol Burnette. Betty White. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. Tina Fey. The Goddesses of Comedy. They are an epic unto themselves, and there are no equals to what they have individually accomplished for females in comedy. Fact.
It's ironic, in a way. When they cast 30 Rock, I imagine NBC thought it would have more trouble with public snafus from Tracey Morgan than Alec Baldwin.... lol
Very good interviewer, knows how to keep it light. tries to get as much info as possible. Sticks to mandatory NBC points but casually sprinkled through the interview and plugs the show without messing up or looking at the paper in his hand (I know he has a teleprompter though)
LOL. "Now that we've gotten motherhood out of the way..." Like it's some insignificant little bothersome topic rather than an all-consuming lifetime commitment.
The Tv audience is female and the guests are female. They have both recently pushed human beings out of themselves. At best painful and inconvenient, at worst life threatening. There are going to be pregnancy questions.
I know that producers probably asked him to do a quick transition and all, but he could've handled his "motherhood" transition a lot smoother than he did. "Now that we've gotten motherhood out of the way" Mmmm, I'm pretty sure is not "one of those things."
Only if her only relevance from your perspective is the whole Palin thing. Not the case for the people who watch the show. You're basically saying to all the people who intentionally watch a video with her in it about her show that she isn't worth watching. Curious as to who you were trying to communicate with in this post.
*sigh* Why must there always be someone in the crowd that reads into things incorrectly. People are always so touchy, they act like having a child makes them God's gift to the world. Cool, you have children, just like billions of other people... Btw, incoming "You're insensitive to people who can't have children.", to which I say, no I wasn't, once again you look too deep into things.
Well, the way people talk about parenthood, it was actually an apt comment on Laurer's part. It's always small talk, and nothing new is ever said. Parenthood is difficult and time-consuming, but it is a rather underwhelming topic of discussion, esp to the audience of this particular show which I think skews hipster. Not to mention the fact that parenthood is already too glorified for who knows what reason. I love my parents but having kids isn't something to be proud of by itself
wtf are you even talking about? hipsters don't watch morning shows. motherhood is important, parenthood isn't. i don't want children but what females can do is worthy of respect
I understand there are different types of people. And an old woman is not really supposed to like Louis CK, or Bill Burr, or other comics who are very caustic and blatant. But COME - OOOON. This is a drag, it's not comedy. And I know she is not there to 'be funny', but she is a comic, that's pretty much her job. Anyways, when I grow to be a saggy piece of useless flesh I will probably still laugh at the outdated comics that sound cool and hip nowadays. Still, she sucks.
How was Jane not nominated for a Golden Globe? she's fantastic!
+Marlene S I like how she can switch emotions so fast and how she can be talking one minute and then burst in to song
I love how Jane and Tina have worked together for years and Jane still cracks up at Tina's jokes!
I LOVE TINA FEY & JANE KRAKOWSKI SO MUCH !!!!!!
i love them too.
Vicki Espohl I love you two
How many successful shows has this woman created? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jane just kept laughing, I love her.

Two of the absolute funniest women alive right here, folks.

Tina Fey is very, very beautiful and very, very smart and funny. I love her.

Tina and Jane, two of my favorite ladies on TV.
TINA FEY IS MY HERO! :D

You forgot Bea Arthur + Dixie Carpenter

"The store burned down" LOL hilarious
This is GREAT! EXCELLENT!
LOL. "Now that we've gotten motherhood out of the way..." Like it's some insignificant little bothersome topic rather than an all-consuming lifetime commitment.
Mine too! I wanna be her when (if) I grow up!
The Today show, discussing 30 Rock, which discusses The Today Show. Double-Meta
imagine spending half your interview w/ tina fey and jane krakowski talking about their PREGNANCIES
The Tv audience is female and the guests are female. They have both recently pushed human beings out of themselves. At best painful and inconvenient, at worst life threatening. There are going to be pregnancy questions.
Jane was pregnant during season 5? I never noticed.
Jane is gorgeous! She has incredible legs too might i add!!!
OMG JANE
To be fair, they probably didn't ever think Baldwin was the height of low maintenance.
I know that producers probably asked him to do a quick transition and all, but he could've handled his "motherhood" transition a lot smoother than he did. "Now that we've gotten motherhood out of the way" Mmmm, I'm pretty sure is not "one of those things."
lauer is a confirmed creep and misogynist anyway so it's not surprising
He was playing a game on his iphone & refused to put it away or turn it off when asked by the flight crew
Wow seems like who ever is born in NYC is either born at Lenox Hill or Mount Sinai
i would like to volunteer at this hospital in the maternity ward, breast feeding training unit
HAHAHAHAHA
so, tina in which pix
good god!!
"the store has been burned down!"
Jane seems really sick. Tina is hilarious.
Is Krakowski downplaying her natural funniness not to piss off her boss?
She's always been like this in interviews - super modest and often using self deprecating humor.
I hate this guy who is interviewing them
i dont like Jenna being normal LOL
me too lol
jane is so hot
what did Alec Baldwin do?
They did get motherhood out of the way.

What happened with Alec Baldwin and American Airlines?
I find Krakowski to be funnier than Fey.
Yeah...I knew when he said that there would be a lot of stupid people with your reaction.
That's obviously not what he meant.
Those teeth are burned in my eyesssssss
Well apparently you find everything quite dull...ZzZ
fucking hate season6 &7
If she jumps out the window for real that would.be hilarious
that might be one of the dumbest things ive ever heard.

I'm amazed that anyone finds any comedic value to any of this.
I understand there are different types of people. And an old woman is not really supposed to like Louis CK, or Bill Burr, or other comics who are very caustic and blatant. But COME - OOOON.
