    I use a samsung smart tag, easy to hide, battery lasts about a year so not hard wired and just bought one from amazon for £18.
    They ping of other phones to give location on an app on your phone. Works great for me.

    I don’t think we riders fully grasp how worried our families are when we’re off galavanting around enjoying ourselves. We just wander along thinking about where to eat or fuel up, and our loved ones are hoping we return home in one piece. We use an app on our IPhones that tracks our location. It works great as long as there’s signal. My wife sometimes complains that she lost track of me for several minutes when I was out of signal range. She’s thinking I’ve fallen off since I haven’t moved for awhile. She’s started riding with me to cut down on her worrying. Sorry, I don’t have a tracker on any of my bikes, so I can’t help.

    Love the way you swerve round pot holes, it's like being in the UK, you could always use an apple Air tag,it has a signal whenever it's near an I phone and probably 9 out of 10 use I phone 🌞🇬🇧🏍👍

    HI GREAT VID AGAIN, I LIVE IN SCOTLAND, BELEIVE IT OR NOT IT 8.5 DEGREES THIS MORNING GOING TO WORK, IT WAS EVEN SNOWING IN GLENCOE TODAY, IT'S BEEN A TERRIBLE SUMMMER HERE, WIND AND RAIN MOST DAYS, WHAT I WOULD DO FOR A BIT OF WARMTH, MIND YOU 40 DEGREES IS A BIT TO TOASTY. A DISCREET TRACKER IS A GOOD IDEA, ALWAYS SOME SCROAT WANTING TO NICK YER BIKE. SOME OF 5HE ROADS THERE LOOK AWFULL. THOUGHT THE POTHOLES WERE BAD HERE, NOT AS BAD AS SOME OF YOU'RE ROADS OVER THERE. LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE😎👍

    If it gives you peace of mind fit one.
    For over ten years i have fitted a flashing l.e.d. into the rear light of my biked thereby utilising the lamps light reflective capability.
    A 3mm led with two lives to it. A battery fed live and a ignition fed live. Ign off and that live becomes an earth and light flashes.
    Ive had dozens of people on ferrys,car parks etc shout " your alarms flashing mate" £1.99 bargain of the century.
    Pair that with your tracker and its belt and braces 👍

    I love the fact Sue checks on you, I can understand it 😅 I also have problem with heart and lungs, I'm known to pass out, rarely but it happens, never on the bike thankfully! I haven't got any tracker as I don't leave it anywhere out of view for a long period of time, but I should being in the UK as you said.
    Cheers 👍🏼

    I think it's great that Sue cares about you to the point that given your heart history it gives her some peace of mind knowing where you are so she can take action if she thinks you are in difficulty. Consider it like having a free bodyguard mate. I have no tracker on my bikes but they live indoors and are rarely out of sight. I also live on the Isle of Wight, which is very safe. If I lived in a major city on the mainland I'd definitely have one but have no idea which one.

      I wasn't feeling great on the bike yesterday so for the first time I really understood why Sue does it. It actually gives peace of mind to both sides on days like that.

    A cup of tea waiting for you at the end of the ride is a treat. I like the idea of Sue knowing where you are. How that's done with a typical cell phone is beyond my caliber also. Sharp work, Sue💪.
    The Enfield's are looking absolutely fresh, Ian.
    Were hovering around 44-45 celsius. I have been riding most every day this week at the Crack of dawn to beat the heat. 5- 6:30 AM.
    I do not fancy the idea of sweating with a helmet on but have entertained the idea of storing my helmet in the freezer for a brain freezing ride for maybe 30 minutes 😂.

    I've had a system put on the Classic 350 I'm collecting next Thursday called Alpha Dot. The bike has lots of small dots painted on that have my ownership details. However looking on their website it doesn't really explain how it worx in detail. It isn't actually a tracker either.

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  Місяць тому +1

      It's a long time ago but I had that system on a bike in the UK. It helps if it's stolen as ownership can be proved but that's only if the bike is found.

      @@iantoy7778 Very good point. I'll be adding a tracker to the various locks and dots that we need to protect our well earned stuff.

    I didn't know that a tracker could be put on someone else's phone. I thought it was something you put on your phone to allow others to use with your consent. But then again, i don't know much about anything anymore. Do these bike trackers have to have a subscription? I pay enough out in the bloody uk as it is.

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  Місяць тому

      Sue tracks me on Google maps by location sharing. Didn't feel very well yesterday when out on the bike so realised how useful it was.
      It looks like most of the trackers have a subscription. I was hoping to find one that didn't. I am not really sure how they work.

      After an episode that happened to me yesterday I can honestly say that I am pleased Sue is able to track me with her phone. It was touch and go if I was able to make it home. I now fully understand her reasons due to my health and am thankful for her support.

    Are those handle bars stock? If not, where did you get them?

    • @iantoy7778
      @iantoy7778  Місяць тому

      The handlebars came from Hitchcocks. They were the tallest/ widest that you can fit still using the stock cables. I will ask Sue if she can find the part number.
