      Why would they do that? A person coming from an S9 isn't going to want the S22, they're going to want the S23. Annual upgrades gives people who wait for a phone upgrade a chance to see what has improved over the past year.

      @Shawn Robeck yes but that's just mainly due to the battery being larger and that previous models have also had their battery degraded from being older and worn.. look at the s10+ how well it did with a much smaller battery and being a 4 ye old phone. The s23 is no upgrade at all,, it's just a tic toc model.

    Like S24 for 699, 24+ for 899 , Ultra for 1099
    Apply for apple also ( iphone are ridiculously expensive for what they can offer , very little multitasking and less features , except for os smoothness, camera and battery life )

    Although i loved my s22, the s23 has been even better with efficiency and battery life. The light mode can make it so efficient it's ridiculous. I got 8 hours sot on my last charge using 120 hz n standard mode. When i tried light mode with 60 hz, i got 37 hours on a single charge. 7 hours sot and 30 hours of standby. The battery efficiency alone is worth the upgrade, it's been that good out of the box.

  • @hienho15
    @hienho15 Рік тому +4

    Only thing wrong with the s22 lineup is battery life. This should be the ONLY reason to upgrade. Charging speed is not an issue for me. It charged fast enough. Any faster will heat up and degrade the battery faster. So no big deal.

    Samsung has been having a MASSIVE sale. Free financing plus slashing prices on all their products - no other brand will do that. If you can't afford $22/mo for a brand new top of the line phone, you can't afford an upgrade and that's your problem... S23 is better than the 21 and 22. So glad I did a trade in.

    Phone companies should stop launching phones every year. Average consumer makes a switch every two or three years, plus there is not much of an innovation left to bring out a phone every year. Better processor and little improvement in camera is not the reason left to switch ur phone every year. Last generation phones gets better with software update. I have s22 plus which is getting better with every software updates.

    So tired of this non-stop sponsored marketing. I find it idiotic to recommend upgrading from the S20 series given the absurd cost of these new phones. The S20 Ultra vs S23 Ultra has 1) a bigger screen (6.9 vs 6.8 inches) 2) a Micro-SD Card 3) includes a Fast-Charger 4) it's lighter (222 vs 234 gr) 5) more RAM (12/16 Gb vs 8/12 Gb). Of course the S23 has advantages in speed, battery management and camera, but will cost 2x or 3x and those improvements are not worth the cost for the vast majority of users.

      1) has a bigger screen with worst tech, more battery consuming not having any ltpo iteration. 2) personally i have been a samsung user since the s9+ and i havent manage to top 256 gb, let alon 512 (which i have) 3) fast charger cost 10 euros especially when buying with the phone. Also i already have like 6 other fast charger to the point that i have one left at work, one in my backpack, one in my car just in case. Included charger is nonsensical unless you buy a xiaomi or oppo phone. 4) you cant even feel a 12 grams difference 5) ram management, let alone ram speed (with lpddr5 ram compared to lpddr3 or 4) is just on another level, especially when coupled with an overclocked snap dragon chip. Pair all of that with rhe fact that this is the last year the s20 will receive updates, this makes that phone essentially dead for most of tech enthusiast. This video is made for them, not for the average "i'll stick to my phone until it can still be bootable" youtube user. Your comment is inappropriate on so many level that not even mkhdb can help us to be more specific

    Great review! I had S22 and intended to keep it but my carrier contract was due for renewal. With the preorder benefits, I sent back my s22 a had to pay just 100 USD to get the s23. Great deal :)
    And I am very happy, especially with the battery (I've been using the phone for more than a week now). I can tell the phone lasts longer in every situation. I had to change my charging routine just because I don't need to charge the s23 that often. The performance is top-notch as well. Selfie camera is better too, especially in video calls.

    Good review, I understand the focus on the USA market but Pixel's can't even use the 5G in markets they haven't official sales ( and you know, there are many many many countries). Also, the ECG win a lock when Google detected the region of your account if haven't Google Pixel official sales so you can't use this function. It is a silly software lock without a good reason, because you give your money to Google, doesn't matter where you live. But surprisingly we can make the FitBit signature to use in a Pixel Watch around the world 🤷🏼‍♂️ funny thing.
    That's put in perspective, globally Samsung lineup makes much more sense, maybe that's one of the reasons they are the number 1⁰ brand in smartphone sales.

    Hey, thanks for review … if you want a small android phone, the S 23 looks like a great phone but the S 23+ is over priced for what it is as if you just spend a little bit more you can get the ultra which will have the better screen the better battery the better cameras I had an S 20+ which had 1440 resolution and the S 23+ comes with 1080 on the smaller regular S 23 it’s OK but on the bigger phone it’s not quite as sharp it really is it seems like us backwards. Do you want a large, android phone get the pixel, seven pro or the 1+11, which are both better phones in the S 23+ and also cost less

      Fellow S8 user here, have to upgrade this week. Hate to get rid of this phone, but wanted to see how the S23 has been going for you since you left this comment? S23 seems to be the possible choice for me though!

    S23 to S22 comparison is less important because no one with S22 would be looking to upgrade to the S23.

    One cannot deny the subtle shout-out to the Pixel 7 Pro. Still remains an extraordinary phone for photography. Hats off Google!
