Great video!! I miss northern VA. When I was about 4 or 5 I got to see the Southern 4501 in Haymarket, VA, and when I was around 9 or 10 I got to see the N&W 1218 in Manassas, VA. The 1218 and 4501 I saw totally by accident. I just happened to be in the right place, at the right time.
i was riding along the 611 on that day of 2015 and i had a fun time riding behind it be happy to do it again this year since she is coming back to run
If you need a 4th team member, I'll ride along next time! Great shots.

Why is the train backing up @ about the 19 minute mark, anyone know?
In order to get from Manassas station onto the B line, the train needs to reverse out towards Broad Run until it clears the south leg of the wye. Then it runs up the wye and onto the B line. Look at the area in Google Maps if that's not a clear enough explanation for you.
Fan Railer Thank you so much for the info. I actually did wonder if it was backing up to access another line. I don't know much about trains and how the railways are laid out, but I've enjoyed the videos of this fine old steam engine.
Your video looks good but was making me seasick. This is because you left image stabilization on when mounted on the tripod. Rookie mistake.

lol thanks. It's whatever haha. Not all of us are "professional" photographers. I personally abhor the use of tripods; I prefer to remain highly mobile.
Fan Railer My bad you have way too steady of hands, your footage looked just like my HV20 on a tripod and the IS hunting. But seriously your iPhone shoots great video I have a 5s and its good but shaky due to no stabilization. I hope the 6s has the stabilizer, I am not down for having a phone as big as the plus in my pocket.
peterzpictstube Yea, the differences between the 5s camera and the 6 camera is enormous (in addition to the stabilizer, the 6 can shoot in 60 FPS, something that earlier models couldn't do; probably also contributed to your motion sickness lol). I don't see why they would get rid of the stabilizer in the next edition of the 6, seeing as it works pretty well (if my 6 didn't have a stabilizer, this video would be unwatchable lol). I do hear they might be adding 4k shooting capability to the 6s camera.
