Hello doctor . Thank you for taking the time out to make this video and explain the different pathways. I had a question and would highly appreciate it if you could answer it. I did step 1 and failed once but on my second attempt i passed and i also took step2 ck and got 250. That being said i was wondering what would be my odds of matching into neurosurgery as a non-us img with these results.
Hello Doc, I wanted to know what are the possibilities of matching into transitional year residency position over categorical or supplemental? If an IMG (non visa requiring) wants to pursue derm? What’s the best pathway to apply TIA
I know US IMG are citizen and green card holders are non US but how are they looked at by programs? Does somebody with a green card and good step scores has a good chance of matching categorical?

Hi Asaad ,I hope you are doing great ,I would like to ask u ,that I am an old img ,I have completed and passed the general surgery residency program in my country,I am thinking to start usmle journey ,but sometimes I think as an old img there are almost no chance to get match in surgery as most university prefer new young. graduate.

Hi! Is it possible to get a surgery residency if I have 1 failed step 1 attempt, but a really good step 2 Ck score?
It is possible but it becomes harder with a failed attempt

Yes, but not much according to the NRMP data.
