  • As an educator and an entrepreneur, Luyen Chou has done some remarkable things in his career, and since his teenage years, he has always been a fisherman. When the opportunity presented itself to apply his unique skills to make a difference in his passion, he stepped up with his time and talent. Striped bass, false albacore, and redfish, and the people who chase them are just starting to realize the benefits Luyen and his app GotOne can have on our fisheries. The app will serve the angler in ways no other app does, and the anonymized (non-specific) data will be invaluable to fisheries managers. He is indeed the right guy at the right time.

Ok just made my first entry. Very easy and fun. Really the best app I’ve seen for this. But one issue. In general I will be entering catches after the fact. I can see how to change date and time but not location. I other words, the location only shows up as my present location in my house. I can pan the map but dont know how to actually input location from yesterday’s catch. Can you help?

Yeah of course, just click on the "catch" then click on the pen icon on the top right. Swipe over to the when/where section and you'll see a google map. Click and hold on the red location icon and you can move it anywhere you like. Once you've done that you can click the checkmark on the top right and you'll see your catch location updated
