This made 2003 a very difficult season for MSch. BMW and Mercedes still made faster engines than Ferrari in 2003 and both had better chassis than Ferrari. Ferrari corrected all the mistakes in the F2004.

I kept watching in the early 2000s simply because Michael was still at Ferrari. But Ecclestone ruined it. I couldn't name a driver these days. We have a race here in Melbourne, and you couldn't pay me to watch it.

Schumacher got a one race suspended ban for his driving on lap 23. A little harsh I thought but it was the closest thing to censure for anything that season. This was his finest season by far and this was his finest race although Europe came close.
