The first hearing of the Choir gave me goosebumps, since I've been used to the original. Also, it feels good putting the Strings in their place sometimes.

does anyone know what the insturment used to make the bell sounds is called? i've never seen it used in a cover before, and it adds so much to the overall experience
I so appreciate the way this piece was performed, but I have to make a comment that is a little bit critical; The vocal arrangement suffered from the way the choir was structured. The men's voices were not strong enough to carry over the women, and it wasn't able to be heard with the women in the foreground. Don't get me wrong, I think everyone performed their best and when I was able to hear the men they were absolutely on point. But being a school choir, the boys have a harder time carrying over the women because women's voices don't have to adjust to the inevitable change of adolescence. I was very appreciative of the way my middle school structured it's 80-90 person choir; It placed the men in the center, tenors up front and baritone/bass toward the back. This gave the men a good centerpiece so their voices could be strong enough to reinforce their parts because they weren't spread out. And anyone who has been in a choral program knows that the Sopranos are the strongest and easiest voices to be heard in the whole choir. 😛 At least from my experience.

@@taleoffantasy Microphones aren't yet at the point where they can consistently represent the source quality, so that's definitely understandable. It was still magnificent! Would have loved to be there in person for it.
