I can't wait to see the intense lovestory between rose and dimitri and I can't wait to see what the mother/daughter relationship between rose and jeanine be like I wonder are they going to keep some of stuff in the books like rose and her mother going blows because they don't get along and I hope they keep rose character traits feisty, tough speakes mind , honest etc and can't wait to see the friendship between lissa and rose seeing rose be very protective of lissa
I like the movie adaptation despite it's flaws but for years I've been wishing for a Vampire Academy tv series. Guess my wish came true because I didn't know this was happening til I watched the trailer a few days ago. I'm excited.
Wao I like their offscreen chemistry so much but InshAllah I will watch this series also first i have to finsh my fav series outpost then I will watch this love from Pakistan
Hope more interviews come from sisi and keiron on rose and dimitri hopefully this series proves everyone wrong that judge it wrong because I've been wanting to see more of rose and dimitri lovestory after I saw the movie a long time ago so fingers crossed that the series ends being good
Sisi has never played a romantic lead - I am not sure she can pull this off..... takes maturity and experience - both in personal and professional life.....
@@pamelaharris-murphy2442 If I have missed a strong romantic scene in other previous shows/ movies please let me know..... why she was cast as a romantic lead I do not know...... hoping I am completely wrong and she is able to demonstrate some chemistry with Dimitri if there are future seasons and I hope there is..... but thus far not seeing it.....Leaving Dimitri aside I was a little horrified at her cavalier treatment of Mason.... just using him like that was not the Rose of the book.....
I love how she says we did things a little bit different but stayed true to the essence... if u mean by using the names and nothing else from the books then thats true... the Series has NOTHING to do with the books... even the movie was way closer and that one wasn't great...
She claimed to love these books and was finding with them changing things? If she was really a fan, she would have known she wasn't fit to play Rose, she is nothing like her and Rose doesn't have an Australian accent. Some fan!
My only issue with the casting is that Dmitris actor clearly has an Irish accent even on the show while claiming to have a Russian upbringing. It’s like, if he had a Russian upbringing than he’d most likely have a Russian accent. Idk why but it’s very bothersome. I mean you can be black and still have a Russian accent or as Sissi here demonstrates an Australian accent, color of your skin doesn’t affect your accent but where you were raised and grew up definitely affects your accent. So I’m the show they should’ve just changed his background to being Irish.
@@skpn123 well if he can do the accent I don’t see the problem. I have a pet peeve about pronunciations. I’m no English expert but if I know how something is supposed to be said I get annoyed when people get it wrong obviously accents and language barriers are taken into consideration. But yea. His character says he was brought up Russian but has an Irish accent. Unlike the color of Roses skin or her accent. Dmitris heritage is a big part of his character. It’s not a minor detail.. so for him to have an Irish accent with a Russian upbringing- it’s confusing.
@@mcnoneya Of course your view is to be respected however I do not get how a whole book set in Russia makes that issue minor sorry - there are plenty of strong actors with the right background and accent..... I can only guess it is anti-Russian sentiment that when brought into the arts and persecuting entirely innocent and uninvolved actors is plain disgusting.....
@@skpn123 I will agree that most Russian characters in American media are usually mob or tough guys. The guy who played Dmitri in the movie was Russian and he was really good. Maybe no good actors who were Russian happened to apply. Like maybe the only good actors who applied werent Russian, idk. I just wish they got someone who could actually do the accent. It’s a weird pet peeve of mine. But I can understand. They already have so much diversity in the show already and that’s great. But Dmitris background specifically is sooo much part of his character. they should’ve gotten an actor who either like YOU said WAS Russian or like I said could pull off a Russian accent. And yet I hope they don’t change the accent next season cuz that’ll just idk, mess it up, it is what it is now, leave it be. 🤷🏻♀️. I guess I consider it minor because in comparison to the rest of the characters his Russian-ness was made much more apart of his arc than the rest of the main characters. It was talked about more, I guess. Whereas the rest of the characters, their heritage wasn’t made much of, looks were described yes. But even those didn’t seem to be a staple. Like with Dmitri His coat his a big thing. The rest of the characters don’t have anything super staple that is APART of them and their characters other then personalities… that I can think of. It’s been a few yrs since I’ve read the books. The movie actually got me into the books. I’ve never been a super opinionated fan of really any other series. So it’s funny to me that I have such strong opinions at all. Lol

Looove them together. So much chemistry AAAHHH
They are perfect for Rose and Dimitri and so far they are doing an amazing job! I'm so grateful for this!
I love that they made rose of age. That was the one and only thing I could never quite get on board with lol
I like how they tiptoed around the age difference question😂
Sisi is so hyper!😂😂😂😂
I looove that he read the books. Or at least started to. They were my bread and butter as a teenager.

I just watched VA on prime and it was soooo good! Then I found out no season 2, so that's a big bummer. Dimitri and Rose's chemistry was amazing.
