Saying the US will be a 3rd world country is pretty dumb. The US will never be a third world country. The US is the most technologically advanced in the world. Countries like Russia are severely held back by old oligarchs that rob their country of the money and means to advance, China encourages their population to smoke cigarettes as a means to suppress the population as one example. China doesn't allow their people the freedoms to do things like create the competition that births innovation, because innovation makes people smarter and undermines the government. So the dollar loses value. If and when that happens, the US can use things like crypto currency or maybe the vast amount of oil reserves it sits on to generate all the wealth it needs, not to mention use that oil/energy strategically to do whatever it wants really. That's just the start. Also bare in mind, China is far more in debt than the US. What the US may owe is owed primarily in US currency, which can be printed for any reason.
