Giday mate just wanted to say thanks for the videos, the ones that you tell us how and why you load and work as you do are appreciated.Watching you tube videos of earth works are kinda therapeutic, had a work accident, had a chemical burn to my face loosing one eye and damaging the other and can't work any more,so after being a plumber for 30 years doing large projects suddenly doing nothing drives you nuts but watching and listening for some reason is good.So anyway cheers mate.
Fine job sir. Those trucks must have barn door or lift gates ? Our tandems have lift gates. So much easier to get brush an stumps out. Barn doors work good too if one isn't wedged against it to tight. Wish i had some jobs like you
how much does it cost to dispose of stumps down there, up here its 25 a yard so when all is said and done, its 400 per six wheeler load for me including hauling fees and all since the only place that takes stumps is in the middle of nowhere
Hey Chris, I know you are busy but if you get a chance would you mind doing a video on your ford crew cab work truck. I am in the same business and considering changing from GMC one ton to a ford with tool boxes like yours. Thanks and if you ever come up to Maine happy to show you around or let you push some trees over in the frozen north.
Nothin' like stumps stuck in the bed to make a drivers day. One reason why iv'e always stayed out of trucks. But a real operator knows how to load a truck so the load will dump, if it doesn't have a two way gate.
place bucket at a slight angle to the track on the side you want to spin towards, push down with the boom both tracks should rise up equally, only need a foot or so (depending on obstacles...), then use your feet on both pedals going opposite directions (I use my toes, cause I got a funky foot..) while swinging the carriage away from where you wanna go. Be careful about obstacles on your sides though, cause you can spin into em, machine will move sorta sideways while you swing, the feets action will always be the same regardless of which side of the tracks you are on, spin left, left foot down, right foot up, spin right left foot up, right foot down.
Not if the driver swings the gate horizontally like a barn-door, and pins it to the body before dumping. As for does it happen, I'm sure it would if the tailgate were used in the traditional manner.
You and those truck drivers make a good team diggin man😎
Smooth operator. The economy of space loading. I dig it! That Volvo is nice.
Very nice again Chris, loading stumps into dump trucks, you know how to load , nice video letsdig18 😲💥👌😉

You will get your ass a ticket for loading past the sides in north texas.
Great video! It’s more timely and costly hauling them off but sometimes it has to be done.
didnt have any brush to burn them and it would have taken forever, they wanted it done this week!
Yeah they would have just smoldered for a month if you could get them light lol! Great job
nice video, i enjoyed it very much. you are one heck of a good operator
Thanks for the video.

The drivers probably like hauling for you....because as you take care of your equipment you're taking care of theirs! Nice and careful loading.

Too much high drama for me.
3-4 thousand pounds per stump.

Can you do a how to video on turning your excavator by lifting the undercarriage and spinning your tracks please

Dirtman707 shouldn't have any trouble with that bud just practice is all you need remember to be smooth on your movements and look before yo spin
northman logging thank you sir I’ll give that go.
Gabe Smith thanks 😁
I would curse you! They would be a Bastard to get out! Lol Tell you have never had them caught 1/2 in and out! Been their done that lol
D Steven Paisley I hate it when they do that. If you try and back up and pop the tailgate you are looking at clouds.
Chris yet anther kinda random but how the heck has your bud Charlie been, miss his vids!
Do you use backhoe controls or excavator controls on your volvo?
What ever happened to ole Charlie copperhead marine? Haven't heard nor seen him in a while???
Why don't you burn the stumps? must be cheaper
Nice job , as usual
Just wondering, when your not filming for You Tube videos’, Do you still Talk to yourself?
yes
When you start answering yourself, then you start to worry?😉
I'm glad I'm not the only operator that talks to himself. Hahaha!!!!
Where do you have to haul your stumps to? Do you take them and burn them or would they make good structure for fish in ponds and lakes?
brush landfill, they are either ground up or buried
That fish pond idea is a good idea. If you had a steady supply, you could sell them to people & organizations wanting natural fish cover
Chris the truckers must just love you as you know just how to load a truck and makes their job much easier.
Do they ever get caught up in the tailgate of the dump truck❓
Not if the driver swings the gate horizontally like a barn-door, and pins it to the body before dumping. As for does it happen, I'm sure it would if the tailgate were used in the traditional manner.
Chris I haded you to suggested channels on my channel
Were do you take stumps that size Chris
brush / stump dump
Just wondering, why you don't use radios to communicate with your employees and other drivers?
just really dont have that big of a need to
