Armstrong belongs in The Blues Hall of Fame! One helluva GM. I wonder if can fix The Cardinals? The Blues try hard to get it right. Hats off to Stillman and the rest of the org.
What has Army done since the Cup run? Please tell me. The Cup window was slammed shut by mismanaging the Petro situation with the end result being Petro WALKING for no compensation and winning a Cup elsewhere (Brett Hull, anyone?).
@@thesaxguruas much as I hated seeing him walk he was asking for to much money and even if we signed him we would have lost a lot more in the coming seasons that would have hurt us long term. I understand your anger as a blues fan as well but I think it’s slightly misplaced. In the end Armstrong did what he thought was best for the future.
He comes off super honest. Especially when compared with Mo. His answers are direct and exude competence. Again a total opposite when compared to cards situation.
Sounds like Dougie and their FO worked incredibly hard to make us a competitive team again without drilling us into the ground. He absolutely learned from 2022-2024 and has made HUGE adjustments. This is quite litterally forcing absolutely every single player on the Blues to be 100% commited. There is soooo much competition within the roster every single spot is deserved, and it will be the best of the best within the group to make the team. This is going to be a great year for the Blues. I believe they are a playoff team if it all works out well. The maturing of Kyrou of our players is going to be huge. I think Texier and Joseph and Kap are going to have re-defining years. Adding in Holloway and you know Torpo is gonna be there this team has serious scoring depth and as long as our D holds up their end of the bargain, I can forsee us being great this year.
Master class of an off season by Army. Thank you! Absolutely the best way to transition a core over a few years to avoid a lengthy rebuild. You gotta hit on draft picks, but having the old guard of Schenn, Saad, Leddy, Faulk; the prime guys of Thomas, Kyrou, Buch, Neighbours, Parayko; the transition group of Holloway, Broberg, Texier, Joseph; and then young guys coming up in Bolduc, Dean, Dvorsky, Snuggerud, Lindstein, Stenberg - is a perfect balance for a playoff locker room. Not to mention Binner/Hofer in net. Don't believe this mushy middle nonsense. Losing the competitive edge in a teardown takes so long to get back, if ever. LGB!!
Can't wait for hockey to start, excited to see the team, but also trying to temper expectations out of the gate: it often takes time for 1 new player to gel with their new teammates, and we have a bunch. Let's Go Blues!
I don't think enough attention is given to the Robert Thomas 8x8.125m contract extension and how he already looks like a bargain after year 1. Especially when you contrast it with the contract extensions signed in the next year or so - like Nylander's 8x11.5, Hintz' 8x8.45m, Larkin's 8x8.7m, Pettersson's 8x11.6m etc. Seeing the salary jump around PPG or PPG+ centers finishing up their RFA seasons over the past 2 year span is crazy! And that's ignoring the UFA contract jumps in recent years which absolutely exploded.
The most under rated player in the league. Top 20 scorer now and always is ranked around 100 by the so called know it all's around the league.. PP, PK, faceoffs the kids learned to do it all. Schenn, Steen and O'Reilly taught him well those first couple years. So glad he's a Blue. Looking for a 100 pt season this year from Tommer.
Blues look way better! Goaltending looks solid. Defense improved with size and mobility. Deleted Krug with one of leagues worst plus/minus. Rounded out the bottom six with depth and speciality team specialists. We'll done Army
No, he needs another year of success at Juniors. No reason to rush him. The debate is what to do with Bolduc? He could easily make this team but get burried on the 4th line. Might be best to Start him in the AHL. Next two years will be lines of Bolduc, Snuggerud, Dvorsky, Dean and more. We can trade an old veteran and dump a D contract like Krug and then buy a free agent or 2. Man the future looks bright. @servicablevillian6457

Really excited by the new young players that the Blues have acquired through the draft and this summer’s offer sheets. ✔️

DA has a long term plan that Steener should appreciate and understand.
Bolduc, Peterson, and Dvorksy stood out to me. There's even more who are also playing fantastic.
@@elusivelectron add Dean Pekarcik and Buchinger to that list
Dean, Bolduc and Pekarcik really stood out to me over the last two prospect games.

Step aside baseball, it's time to watch a real sport. LETS GO!
I'm curious if Dvorsky will make the team. LGB
Not likely, he's bound for AHL Springfield for at least half a season if not the entire year.

Are the blues planning to get Tarasenko back?
Nah. He’s staying in Detroit and it honestly doesn’t make sense to bring him back.
Doug. WIN. That's ALL the matters. You slammed the Cup Window down by botching Pertro's situation (doesn't he look good with TWO rings?).
Who the fuck is "Pertro"?
blues or youtube censoring me
ok, now go get cam fowler with krug’s LTIR money!
he just happens to make $6.5 M, hes a top pairing LD
No more Left D Please!
They need RD not LD!
Lol. No.
The Blues are log jammed for LHD.
