@briankeogh9860 John Wayne is of Irish descent. He has blue eyes and brown hair as is in the song. In "The Quiet Man," he plays an Irish American, born in Ireland, who travels back to where he was born. If I remember correctly, he arrives on foot. The song fits him, not her. Except for the " princess with slippers that don't fit," verse. I highly recommend this film.
