Their darker take was what drew me to the show. When I saw that first preview with Ryn's design omg! 😍 I was excited. Looked like something a "real" mermaid could look like if they existed and I enjoyed that concept.
I was more interested in the "mammalian" take of the siren character designs, since most portrayals are more "fishy." Didn't necessarily have to be dark or edgy for me to enjoy, but I'm not complaining :)
This is probably just wishful thinking BUT I would love to see how someone with your mermaid expertise and very analytical mind might tackle the extended fluke design. Would be interesting to see if you also start designing silicone tails, maybe even partner with an established company to handle production, but instead of just doing regular tails you instead pioneered new extended tails. The ones on the market are meh and the only others are all "film industry" productions but not practical regular usage. I could totally see you becoming the Anne Rice of the mermaid world. Either way I love your videos and thank you all your hard work.

The original siren tail is so cool and I admire the work that got into the fabric one you created to make it look so similar to the original one. That dorsal you did on the fabric still blows my mind.
My dream is to become an extended tail maker, so thank you so much for these videos. Learning about how these are made and using my own design education I'm already prepping my 3d models and figuring out materials to one day make that happen, and it certainly wouldnt be possible without you mers sharing all of your knowledge. I just got my fantasea 1 monofin, and it is really cool to think that it is almost exactly the same size as one of the best series in the world! I think the siren mermaid tail is made in a similar way that the Mako Mermaid’s tails were made. This vid was very fascinating to watch!
