When the caretaker said Burma was calling for Kashin with no response my heart broke 🥺💔
It is truly heartbreaking 😔 Kashin was adored by both the zoo keepers and Burma, a very sad loss
I felt the same way. I mean, we know how intelligent elephants are. How caring they are within their 'family' (herd) and how humanlike they are. But we'll never know the answer to my question, 'Does Burma understand?'
Our hearts are shattered! Rest in peace, Kashin! Sending our love to all the zookeepers and animals during their mourning process🥺❤
We also hope that the zookeepers and other animals at the zoo are recovering from the loss of Kashin 😞 she will be very missed
She was blessed to have the zoo staff as her care givers. Thank you for celebrating her life and letting us meet those who cared for her.
So painful to lose Her - as well as anyone who has to have to put a pet down. It hurts. God has made such beautiful animals in His creation. The zoo did a fabulous job in honoring her. Hope the cute penguin survives as well
R.I.P. Kashin. I am sure you are going to be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved you. And to the staff at the zoo, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know it cannot be easy to come to work the next day and see her gone. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry for everyone's loss. 😢 How painful it is. 😭💔 May Heavenly Father give you comfort and peace. RIP Sweet Kashin. 🌈🐘
It is always a gift to give mercy. It is one of life's most difficult moments.
Peace comes in knowing you ended their suffering.
💔🌹🌹
😔💔
Awww that's why I love elephants. R.I.P. Kashin Poor little friend of hers I pray there will be other elephants so Burma to be with. ❤️🙏❤️🙏 Thank you for taking care of an amazing elephant Kashin 🐘
How sad to see that Kashin has passed away. She sounds like she was a wonderful elephant. She will do doubt be missed by many people of all ages and her elephant friend Burma. It is good that Burma will be able to have another elephant friend eventually. Elephants are such wonderful animals. They thrive so much on the friendship of other elephants.
Elephants are beautiful animals with strong emotions just like us humans 😌Kashin will be very missed by everyone, especially her friend Burma
So sad that Kashin passed away. I'm not gonna lie I cried when her keeper was talking about her. The pain he was feeling was very real.
It must be such a sad situation for any zoo keeper to be in 😔
@@PetRescueTV I image it is. I know how I felt when I lost 2 of my dogs. And they were with me for almost 13 & 14 yrs. Some of those keepers have been working with those animals for over 20 yrs. So you know they are super attached to them. There is no way you could not be.
Awe 😢 Quite a loved little lady!
She was loved by all the zoo staff and her friend Burma, she will be dearly missed by us all 😞
ohh please find a friend for the remaining elephant...it needs companionship. my heart breaks for them. glad to see the blue penquin is thriving with one wing.. ;
The team were able to find Burma a new friend called Anjalee! Anjalee and Burma were together for a number of years before plans were made for both to move to Australia to be with more elephants. However, Burma's plans fell through and the team at Auckland Zoo are currently working on getting her to a safari park in South Australia as soon as they can.
Okay, hands up. Who cried a little bit this episode? 😥
👋 reminded me of putting a beloved dog to sleep. She was in heart failure and it was hard for her to breathe but knowing it was the right thing doesn't make it easier. RIP
Absolutely crying here. Beautiful tribute ❤️
A little bit? Oh My! What an absolutely beautiful tribute to what seemed to be such a beautiful soul! My tears are still falling and my nose is all plugged.
@@hiker4life4020 We're so sorry to hear about your dog 😞It is one of the hardest decisions for any animal owner to make
A million thanks to the staff who, over these past decades with Kashin, provided such exemplary care.
May you find some comfort in knowing that the life you gave her was full of the unconditional love that helped her to thrive in this environment.
We don't deserve animals, really. They are blameless in the circle of life we are all a part of. The ONLY fault I can find with animals is their relatively short lifespan, as compared to ours.
Saying 'goodbye' to the ones who touch our hearts is almost unbearable...but we owe them that final gift of grace in exchange for all they offer us.
Special shout-out to the Vet who assisted her transition and to Andrew. You are both so lovely and kind, and you are truly doing the Lord's work.
Thank you for sharing with us.
It’s very heartbreaking 💔 bless to all team especially her friend and keeper
I am surprised that the zoo only had 2 Asian elephants. I sure hope they find a friend for the Burma
We happy to say Burma eventually got a new friend -Anjalee! (but not before some tricky times for Burma and team - you can see Burma's recovery process and what the zookeepers did to help here ua-cam.com/video/fA1x0XJugnU/v-deo.html!)
@@PetRescueTV Awesome, thanks, I will check it out. So glad she got a new friend.
😭 so sorry that she's gone over the rainbow bridge, may she rest in peace, 🙏 🖤🖤
That was really moving, until I saw Kashin being pulled by kids and climbed on. Bit of a cheek to talk about the dignity of her passing, when she was treated like an object of entertainment.
Yes. Zoos are no place for elephants. They have sanctuaries in Africa for them to live a natural life.😢
Thankyou for alll you do ❤
Just discovered your channel RIP Kashin so sorry for your loss
It's a very sad loss for the zoo 😔
lovely real people! 🙏
why is berma doing circuw tricks? this is sooo undignified an unbecoming of an elephant.
Probably for keepers to check for any injuries, or just enriching for Berma, otherwise there would be obvious discomfort and even violence towards the caregivers.
🥺🐘😢✨🥀…..omg!!….that actually hurts!!💜
It's tough viewing for the heart this one 😞
How old was she and what was her illness?
What did This Beautiful Lady pass from??
maybe someday you might have a herd of elephants for Burma. Female elephants cannot survive without each other you know
These episodes are quite old!
14:24 is that a tear?
It is 😔 elephants feel emotions just as deeply as us humans
We felt this type of loss here in Alaska when our girl Maggie passed. Her life mate Marry Bell had to go after her.
It's so sad! They become real friends of all those around them and each other 😢 How long was poor Marry Bell by herself?
@@PetRescueTV she was sent to another zoo. She passed away two years later I believe. We still have some of their paintings in restaurants up here. Like Denny's
Elephants need to be in sanctuaries in Africa not zoos!
But they more likely won’t be aloud to breed, and a sanctuary is no different to a zoo, it is still captivity. This zoo is run by experts who have understood these creatures. We need these magnificent creatures at zoos, I know it seems sad, but right now, elephant populations are declining because of us and it is important that zoos create a genetic diversity to ensure. The video shows Asian elephants, they are not native to Africa but instead India/Asia. Please forgive my long text, I just want people to understand that zoos are very important today, would I prefer animals in their natural habitat, of course, but the wild is not safe right now, and I feel captivity is better than extinction. I appreciate your concern for these animals, many facilities are not suitable for elephants (roadside zoos), and I would prefer them to be in better zoos. God bless and live life to the fullest.
Don't have anymore zoos. Thank you.
Sadly, without zoos, this would be the only place for these animals to exist due to the change of the climate and human interference aka hunting/poaching. Right now zoos are doing their best to provide the best welfare for their animals and to be sure we still have these guys here in this planet as well as partake in conservation projects in and out of zoos to help wildlife. I’m grateful for the work zoos have done from rescuing the last California Condor and bringing back the population to returning Przewalski's Horses back to the wild after they had became extinct. Sorry for the lengthy text, God bless and live life to the fullest.
Poor elephant stuck in a Zoo for most of its life…very sad.😂
At least they have free healthcare, a nice comfy home, weird people to see daily, and a loving family of caregivers who are passionate to give their time caring for these beautiful animals.
