Ugh, haven't you heard, Baker is not a NFL caliber starting QB, and he's too short and he's not mature enough and he's in accurate. Per CBS ABC FOX ESPN etc.
It was very impressive. Great receiver play, and pass blocking was solid. Very accurate into tight windows, and made great decisions combined with the never give up attitude = a perct game.

@@mohammadmehmood3405that’s what I was thinking. In baseball, pitching a perfect game means not allowing any opponents on base at all throughout the entire game. It doesn’t mean striking out 20 people and having 7 people get on base. So I don’t think Baker had a perfect game in my opinion

Mayfield has improved big time. I think everything he's learned about the NFL has started to gel together for him.
He’s always been capable of this. Just look at his stats from his first and third seasons, along with his short stint with the Rams.
He’s just been in so many different offenses, many of them bad.
He wouldn’t be the best QB in the league, but if he had an offense that actually played to his strengths he would be a solid QB and no one would doubt his capabilities.
i really hope he gets a contract, he definitely deserves it

My favorite Sooner of all time and I'm 54 so I've seen a bunch of great ones. If he has time to throw and a decent team around him he is as accurate as anybody.

Keep in mind that Baker was sacked 4 times this game and still pulled this off. If he has more time with a better O-Line he could make numbers like this a more regular thing. Baker is better than people realize, like most QB's you just have the have the right players at the right spots.
Just look at what he's had to work with year by year. The multiple coordinator changes. Team changes. He's a very good qb.

Seeing him live earlier was impressive. It was cold out and he was dropping dimes all game.
A number of firsts this game. First EVER regular season game win in Green Bay for Tampa, despite being in the NFC Central all of those years. First perfect game in Green Bay by an opposing QB. First win for Baker Mayfield in Green Bay after three losses with the Cleveland Browns. Most points Tampa has ever scored in Green Bay. Bucs are now first the first time in two years able to run the ball and make effective gains (27 rushes, 99 yards on the ground). More effective 0ffensive line play means Tampa now can run the ball and take some pressure off of the passing game. If the defense can stay healthy and the Bucs can run a balanced offense, they could win out this season and finish the season 10-7 - especially if Trevor Lawrence cannot play this week.

Funny seeing how surprised fans are who only ever watch Baker in snippets from the Media. He's always been this good. His injured year was bad, and other than that having 4 head coaches in 3 years ( at the browns no less ) will make anyone look less than they are.

Why did we do him so wrong? Bcuz they decided that he wasn't the QB to take us to the Super Bowl? Teams trade their QBs all the time. Rams got to the Super Bowl with Goff yet traded him the very next day basically. 49ers drafted Lance and gave up multiple draft picks but they traded him. Flacco won a title with Ravens yet they released him and inserted Lamar. Browns finally had the stones to upgrade which they did. And I'm happy they did.
Remember all the talking heads saying Baker was done, not be a starting QB in the NFL again? Sports headlines are the worst, they a virtually always wrong. I think they just make stuff up to get attention.
