Yes Mike, this is the one. Beautiful words, poignant, great beats, feeling it.
I remember being so proud of Original Pirate Material, I took it out to my friends in Serbia as a voice of who we are as a country, the struggles and the beauty but mostly the frank and direct honesty. Now it's many years later, I'm happily settled in Europe again and this music is still one of the nearest things I get to waving in lieu of a flag for my homeland..
If you don't realise how utterly impossible and marvellous this is then you are not alive; this is being alive. This is life.

Mixtape has some hyped collaborators on board like Kevin Parker from tame impala . Idles and slowthai but all in all it's brilliant set of songs and a sign that mike skinner and the streets trademark sound is still there after close to a decade away from music .

'Oouuuu' without making shit up like some people do to try and get the attention of people I want say thank you mike. A grand don't come for free was the first album I ever owned at the age of 5 and since then I've loved everything you've done, the fact you guys have been back is fucking amazing, despite the time out your music is still as relevant as ever, still makes me feel like it was written for and about me sometimes you're just that good and capturing movements and putting them in words. I listened to the streets as a child and now as an adult to have new streets music and still feel the same way about it is amazing to me... wave god number 1

Well Yh, my lockdown came to an end, I was in lockdown... now I’m not 🤷🏼♂️ if you’re referring to a second phase then if that happens I’m sure lockdown rules will be I forced again and if that happens then so be it. It wasn’t really a comment about the lockdown, i was more making a point that I’m back to work and playing sport both within government guidelines so my lockdown has effectively come to an end. I think ‘my life is about to come crashing down’ is a bit dramatic but ok, whatever come my way I’m sure I’ll deal with. 👍🏼
