You should go to market market, there are an array of cheap foods. You just went to slightly priced foods that aren’t that cheap.
If you really want the most cheapest and budget meal, walk around BGC in the morning around 6-8am and you have to really look out for those guys in their bikes selling food to the security guards
those are pinoy budget meal....lol
@@edieiyonthose are not budget meals. He curtails to the white people who are scared to dare to eat the more budgeted & cheapest meals out there
@@bochog7587 Mang Inasal is the best. Had it at Market Market yesterday. Place was packed.
Thing is, it's budget meals for foreigners, not Pinoys.
You mean foods that are bad even for dogs? 😂. Hotdogs or mystery meats!
Thanks for sharing. I work in BGC and this will help me a lot.
Great topic Bud, this a good template for those who plan to visit PI.
Thanks so much for the Launder's info. I'm a digital nomad and plan to stay in BGC probably for two months in early 2025. A membership would totally be worth it.
Very helpful video! Not only for the foreigners who wanna try living in BGC, but also for the people working in BGC!
Keep in mind that anything P100 or less are very small portions. They may be cheap from an American’s perspective but it’s also not the same size you get in the US. Filipinos’ don’t eat as much as Americans and that’s why portions are much smaller and prices cheaper. A restaurant that’s western style with western ingredients will set you back a hell of a lot more than $5 per meal using the same portions in the US.
A meal at McDonald in the US will cost you around $12 and not a healthy option. If youre complaining about the serving size, just add a couple of bucks more and you'll still be way cheaper tha in the US plus you can get a free hair cut at the barbers shop every month at Landers if you choose to eat there and become a member.
@@edieiyon I'm not complaining about the serving size, just stating a fact. The Philippines might still be a little bit cheaper on a Big Mac for example, but it won't be the same taste either. Are you saying a Big Mac is healthier in the Philippines? You're a moron if you think that.
Thank you for the budget friendly advice. BGC is so pretty. You really have shown me some new potential travel opportunities.
Thanks for showing this to us. I was always under the impression the BGC was all about expensive eating and expensive shopping. This is really manageable for those on a lighter budget!
If you really have very tight budget, the best option is the Kalayaan where you can buy home cooked dish for less than 100php complete meal.
Maybe you want to make a separate vlog for that.
Karenderia is not BGC anymore so that's out. 😊
ffs don't point him to a carinderia. That's a ticket to a hospital. These are already cheap for foreigners
Good Job sharing Budget eats. Thanks.
Mang inasal is another option option and also Chowking ,.these are both cheap and can fill you up plus they taste so good specially Mang inasal..
i've tried Chowking today with Wonton Mami + tried their siaopao as well really nice!
Yeah Mang Inasal and Chowking also owned by Jollibee.
@@bertronix182 have to try Mang inasal too then haha but my last dinner was manam which was a bit on the pricier side definitely not a budget meal 😂
You should check out carinderias! They're like home-cooked Filipino food stalls. You can get a filling meal for around $0.30-$2.80. So good!
Love how you always bring an umbrella now with you! 😂
We got a new chairman of BGC🎉
i agree!
Landers and Marketplace are relly good options, but I don't mind eating at fast food like Mcdonalds, Jollibee or Wendys.
What a mensch!

Doing the Lord's work
🙏🙏
You are a very knowledgeable expat 👍👍👍
thanks for showing us these places.. never been to BGC... will try all these when i visit there...
Nice information Zane but there also healthy foods which are cheaper at bgc. One is in the basement of Bonifacio one just opposite Shangrila Hotel.
Great Guide. I would add the chicken, egg, rice(momo eggdrop) for PHP199 place on the floor below the food court in uptown mall.
Also the KyuKyu(99PHP) Ramen in the food "district" court below the 3D billboard.
This is an awesome topic. Although this is catered to Expats. If you are Filipino you can definitely eat for less than 300 pesos per meal.
Karinderya na lng.
Perfect if you in a Budget, Tagalog Kurt Channel, He goes To All The Carinderia in Pasay or Makati To Eat Some Home Cook Meal … 😂😅😂 He Said it’s Better Than To go to A pricey Restaurant In Manila…. ✌️✌️✌️
@@neliaalejandrino8478sa likod ng mitsukoshi may palusot na eskinita into the barangay. Pembo yata.
Pick-UP Coffee is a good budget coffee spot. They are about half the price of Starbucks. When deciding were to eat at a food court, I look for the place that has a line. I could eat Hawker Chan's 4 or 5 times a week and yes they always have a line.
Love your video's Zane ❤❤😊
Thanks for recomending, mate. Keep it up. God Bless...
Fantastic job here indeed!! Going there soon on California budget! Thanks much!
Wow, great job Zane! Very affordable options to eat in BGC. I worked at JP Morgan in BGC for 8yrs and some of these places are very new to me. I always eat inside the office 'coz it's cheaper than outside. I'll start visiting that Taco place on Tuesday. Haha Thanks again for recommending. Hope to see you soon in the road 🤗🤙
BGC Manila 😊😊😊 amazing City for foreigners
Taco Tuesday Here in The U.S when u can Eat All the Taco for Half Price 😅😂😂 Like , Shrimp Taco , Beef Taco, Chicken and Carnitas means Shredded pork and Fish Tacos shrimp the Best… 🙌✌️✌️✌️🙏
Great video! Thanks for the info.
I like this kind of vlogs. Its very organic and informative. Thanks Zane!
I've worked in the McKinley-BGC area for 10 years. If you're a regular employee on a budget and you want real home-cooked _karinderya_ meals, go to Consular Road, the side street between McKinley Parkway and Le Grand Ave. The road has a gate and a couple of guards posted. Just nod and say you're eating at one of the _karinderyas_ nearby. During the daytime, the street is lined with the shuttle vans from LSEG, FactSet and other companies because that's where the drivers hang out. You'll also find the occasional employees from companies in Mc West.
When I was at Crawford in BGC I usually had my liempo barbecue and *beer* lunches there, like every day. You're not allowed to drink alcohol during work hours but the place was hidden enough and no one likes to walk that far from the office for lunch hehe.
This video is for foreign tourists so their idea of cheap is still expensive for us also. I worked in BGC and had to walk (as in waaallllkkkkk) to karinderyas near LDB building just to eat inexpensive real home cooked meals. For 150 pesos, its already a feast. If I'm too lazy to walk then Jollibee at Mind musem (with their small chicken 😭) or any near convenience store that sell meals 😓.
Fast food at uptown mall . It is on the upper level cheap & Good foods
Great video by all standards 👌
Whew, I was craving while watching! I’m arriving Sep 5, and I’ll definitely check these places out! I’m also glad my hotels are in Makati and BGC.
As a pilipino living in California for more than 30 years if I give reaction for Costco in the US versus Landers and S&R in the Philippines.Food court specially pizza only 2 flavor Costco in the US either cheese and pepperoni, but in the Philippines more option,of pizza offer.,and the place a little more bigger than Costco. Landers and S&R a lot more better. than Costco.
30 years in California, you say? You sure Not 3 months?
I don’t know about launders pizza but S&R is average compared to the USA I would compare it to school lunch pizza. I haven’t eaten at costcos because the nearest one ro me is too far of a drive but Sam’s club isn’t bad especially for the price.
@@MarioMislang-e8u Can't really compare US because labor cost is so much higher there, anyway nobody goes to Costco for the great pizza choices.
will be in makati soon. very excited
Seeing you with umbrella ❤❤
I didn’t get to try a lot of those places, but Landers is very reasonable and tasty
Agreed, landers food court is amazing.
This is really a good topic you can make a travel guide book for Phil. and southeast Asia Great🎉
Love it!!!
🟢 Jollibee ✅ Chicken 🍗 rice 🍚 gravy 🟢 ice tea🥤
Congrats sir nearly for 100k subscribers......❤❤❤
Nice!
Hope you are wearing sunblock. Nice report, I live close to BGC
Yum😂 i love it
22:48 24 Chicken is super delicious 😊I’m actually surprised they don’t have more locations
Did not know marketplace at the basement of Uptown mall... bummer😅 me and kids stayed at One Uptown... will check it out next Manila trip, thanks
Go ZANE Let’s Go !!!!! Almost Hit your Silver Button…. 8k More To Go Lets Do it 💯K Subs Go Go Zane !!! 👍👍👍👌💪🙏🙌💪💕❤️
great video...can you do one on affordable curries? whehter it's thai, indian, filipino, japanse etc
Go to Picadilly building and ask the guard for directions to the building's cafeteria. So much cheaper.
🤗 liquid lunch > San Miguel Beer 🍺
Don't forget Andok's chicken on 32nd st and I enjoy The Sandwich Guy when I need a break from rice. Both are really affordable for western BGC food standards.
Great Video 👍
But will you visit Antipolo in Manila and Tagaytay City. It's a cooler climate there?
You must try chowking, mang inasal local brands all own by jollibee
Those food options are considered mid-pricey branded meals. The real budget meals (below 100 pesos) can be found at Makati's Jolly Jeep. It's like carinderia style turo turo (point point) meals in a street stalls where you would eat while standing on the street. Most non-Filipino vloggers try those authentic Filipino dishes and they get many views because Filipino viewers & other nationalities, too are curious on how a non-Filipino vlogger would rate our Filipino cuisines. Usually they try balut, sisig, kare-kare, dinuguan, crispy pata, lechon, lechon kawali, bicol express, sinigang, bulalo, chicken inasal, kilawin, tapsilog, Bistek Tagalog (beef steak), daing na bangus (bangsilog) and many others. Yes, you should try to interact more with the locals but choose the friendly ones just like what Harry Jaggard and Go with Ali is doing in their vlogs.
Zane love your videos. Could you kindly do a video on vegan or vegetarian food in Makati and BGC.
Love your content
Tulum was your "discovery" during your 2nd time in BGC😊
KFC was right infront of Marketplace but was ignored. Good decision. Other fried chicken options are way better.
Wow...havent been here in a while...your following grew so much! Nice!
I like your speaking voice :p and accent...very easy to understand...
Very informative. Can you make a video on the expensive side but actually worth it? Like is wolfgang worth it or are there better and/or less expensive alternatives?
Honestly, a mall food court is more than enough and they're usually clean.
Thanks for sharing.
Also a good thing about Philippine prices is that it includes the taxes. *What you see on the price sign is exactly what you pay.*
omg lol, can't wait to try all of these when i visit the Philippines this Sept. They say it's the start of Christmas and I want to experience this.......on a budget :)
Great video Zane and perfect timing. I just arrived in BGC for a month visit. Went to Uptown Mall last night with my fiancé and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. 2k pesos and the food was horrible.
Let’s meet if you’re still in BGC.
Roadhouse and wild wings suck in BGC. Try Denny’s, I know that’s weird to hear but trust me 😂 dennys at uptown is great.
If you want a respectable steakhouse, go to Wolfgang. That is if you can afford it. 😊
I stayed in Uptown Parksuites Tower 2 Thursday and Friday.
You missed a good one beside agave which is goto believe. They offer good comfort food and cheap price especially in BGC. You should try it and give it a review
There are a large variety of food options in BGC. However Thanks for sharing your tips👌🏾
Now I'm hungry 😊
Very good episode
I really enjoy your videos!!! I'll never go there but I love seeing all these places in a real perspective :) BUT I do wish you could do more traveling in America and Canada- both beautiful countries- I'm jealous- wish I could travel the world - god bless
Under USD$10 a day for food is unheard of in the USA. Not bad for an international global city.
There’s a Market Place in Macao, China. Same logo
That Muji in uptown mall has a cafe too really cheap. Id also suggest checking Thiong Baru super good
KFC Philippines "Fried Chicken Livers" is delicious.
KFC Philippines "Bucket of Grilled Chicken" is also delicious.
McDonald's Philippines "Happy Meal" is delicious.
McDonald's Philippines "Filet-O-Fish" sandwich is also delicious.
You should vlog the restaurants and the market in the bottom level of Mitsukoshi
Hi Zane and thanks for the great video. I liked the Feta place as a fellow hummus lover. In fact, I'm vegetarian so my concern is whether I will find any good and reasonable vegetarian options in BGC? I heard you mention in another video that you used to eat plant based before so I would love to hear your view on that. I haven't seen any other videos about vegetarian food in BGC so it might be good for views too if you make a video about it. More and more people and tourists eat vegetarian food so they would really appreciate a video on that topic. Anyway, thanks for your great content. Always top notch value delivered in a down to earth and relaxed way. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! Actually, you might not have a problem in BGC. There are restaurants like Shaka that do vegetarian and plant based. Outside of BGC will be a lot harder.
@@zanetravel Thanks! By the way, would love a video about budget living in BGC on a monthly basis.
Explore las casas filipinas de acuzar in bataan northern part of luzon
Nice
Good to know
Check out new port city and araneta city. There iare a lot restaurants and coffee shops.
i especially enjoy watching his epiglottis when he eats.
I don't know when you filmed this but I was in that uptown mall literally a week ago or so
i missed zane to do Tarrot reading❤❤❤❤
Hey Zane! Now i need to eat something! Lol yum
I am not a fan of Jollibee, but I love the mango peach pie, nothing else!
I will be in BGC March 8 if you like to meet up for lunch
You should do a best restaurants in BGC regardless of price! You can do a top 10 or top 5!
What your opinion, other vloggers. That Filipino food is unhealthy. Because Mostly fried🤔
Yeah mostly Fried and Eating too much Pork dishes Specially That Lechon ….. You Hardly Find A Vegetarian Restaurants in The Philippines, To Those people’s Who don’t Eat Meat or Poultry They Should Have an Option…. That’s Why Most of The Expats Prefer Food From , Thailand and Vietnam, Coz it’s Healthier….. Philippines is A New and Developing Country, And Many Eatery’s Tourist Should Have An Alternative Resto , For Healthy Conscious Lifestyle…. 🙌🙌✌️✌️✌️
You also include pizza 1 slice at s&r for only 110 including drinks. The slice is big though.
i like it. next time i go to bgc i know where to go now to eat.
For reference, 300 pesos is roughly a dollar to three less than the minimum wage in the country.
Bobo kba? 1 dollar is 56.20ish pesos. Now do the math! Mind you minimum wage earner in Metro Manila is 670 pesos something. Yes, M. Manila is my reference since obviously this was filmed in BGC. Also, kung minimum wage earner bat ka nman titira sa BGC. Jusko, kaloka ka!
Burgers in USA is more expensive…what’s nice to them is unli drinks….
Sandwich guy is cheap but good.
There’s a gap behind mitsukoshi mall that leads into the barangay 🤫 you can get street foods there. Don’t ask me how I know 😂
You should try Mang Inasal if you want to eat cheap but tasty Filipino food try it Zane so yummy also owned by Jollibee 😋😋😋🇵🇭👍👍👍
Zane let's do a video on the best steak houses in BGC. I will buy up to 5 places and you can do the video and vlog.
HI Zane! love your videos and thanks for taking us on your Asiantravels. Such good info! One thing. Wish you would tell us more often what the Peso to Dollar equiv. is! if you don't feel like saying it every time, maybe add a graphic with the dollar amount. Would be so much easier that looking up all the price quotes that interest me. Wish you the best. A pleasure watching!
I have been to a jolibees in the Philippines where it was so busy where the cashier said eat in or carry out I said carry out there is no guarantee I will get a seat.
Salamat Zane😄
Maybe follow up with a vid on budget healthy eats in BGC? ✌🏻
