I'll be listing my Morphagene on Reverb this evening... I'm absolutely blown away by what this thing does!

What an absolute mad lad. I've had my eye on the morphagene for about a year now and I finally realize that the Lubadh is exactly what I'm looking for - each one of these videos (esp. the V2 firmware demo) surprises me with the depth of this module.

The preset loading facility is great in theory; in practice the difference between the colours- indicating whether I’m swapping to A or B- is non-existent. The only way to be sure which preset is loaded is to make them both the same in the preset loader, which kinda removes the point- but at least I’m sure which preset is loaded!

I've updated my firmware, but I didn't purchase the v2 firmware usb pack. Do I still have access to presets?
Are some defaults perhaps loaded into my Micro SD card along with the firmware? Sorry, this bit has been unclear to me.
EDIT: Whoops. Looks like this is answered in this video at 6:36. Where it shows presets being loaded onto the USB drive from firmware on powerup.

Regards hot swapping USB drives to change presets, do the presets automatically change simply by swapping the USB drive, or is any other step necessary to make that happen?

Simply toggle the A/B selection and it pulls from the USB. It’s sensible to give it a few seconds following inserting a new USB drive before hitting the button combo
(Press hold both retrig buttons a tap erase on the target depth).

@@flightofsound2497 I keep the quantities very tightly aligned with module production, so I don’t have any excess.
They are just basic 4GB (black) and 8GB (white) flash drives.
Any generic drive should work equally as well though :)

Hahaha. I watched everything, but i Didnt catch How to play back samples from usb and i Didnt catch How to try different presets 😂 i need to Edit that one file with name of preset to Get it on the module?

The preset loader file determines which presets the Lubadh will run.
This video covers the preset curation process :)
There is a main V2 features overview video that goes into much greater detail on sample usage.

Pages 31-33 in the user manual cover the audio save/load mechanics.

So what is the best way to review the preset text files to take a look at the options available for editing? I just wanted to take a look before purchasing, thanks!

    • @instruo
      @instruo  Рік тому

      Any text editor really.
I'm a mac user so I'm not sure of the equivalent MS defaults.
      mac's native TextEdit works nicely.
I'm partial to SublimeText which is quite a minimal editor (also free).
I also work between Atom and VSCode but they might be overkill for basic text editing!
