I only remember a few scenes from it, but mostly I remember cringing at the part when the kid imagines the native american dude being full-sized, and then he writes a paper about it for school. When Lyle gaslights, he says things very nonchalantly or goes the reverse to make others think they're being gaslit.
There are three heads. One only tells lies, yet they sound as truths, another tells only truths, yet seems like a liar. The third is the most untrustworthy, he tells you a truth and a lie at the same time, twisting misinformation out of reality.
It has to be an especially powerful gaslighting session for Zach to call every subsequent gaslighting incident "doing a Herculad", the poor guy is traumatized lol

I love how whenever Zach is gaslighting he's very levelheaded and never lets a crack out until Chris inevitably calls him out; but if he isn't gaslighting and Chris thinks he is, Zach just gets super defensive instantly lmaooo. This is how I always know whether or not he's lying. Chris on the other hand will employ any form of lie or deceptive tactic for his gaslighting. The best part is that both of them are still just as believable.
My favorite is the basketball one at 41:11, cuz its interesting to hear him branch out into different styles of lying. We in the gaslight industry call that a "sight lie", or a "sie."

The grain of truth behind Herculad is that there really is a scene of a kid dressed as Hercules, in the movie. During the montage where Hercules is succeeding, we briefly see Hercules attending a play where a kid is reenacting the scene of him fighting the Hydra. That's probably what Zach was remembering

I saw somebody else comment this on another video long ago, but I'll restate it: the biggest Oneyplays gaslighting was against us, the viewer, in saying "Chris convinced Zach Herculad was real" but he never fell for it.
The fact that this video has segments where they tell the truth, just so we believe that it’s actually false, is gaslighting in itself. Absolutely genius.

I grew up in Britain and I was told about Lapland as well. I always thought that The North Pole was where Santa worked from and where his business operated, but Lapland would be where he'd actually live the rest of the year. Considering he can travel across the world in one night, it didn't seem implausible that he'd live in a place in Finland and travel to the North Pole when business dictated.
