  • The fourth egg hatched on Sunday, May 12, and now the Bowling Green peregrine falcon family is complete. The tiercel has a big job ahead of him, and will be hunting for food constantly to feed the mother peregrine falcon and the four baby falcons (eyasses).
    2024 Milestones:
    First egg laid: April 2, 2:58 p.m.
    Second egg laid: April 5, 3:15 a.m.
    Third egg laid: April 7, 9:23 a.m.
    FOURTH egg laid: April 10, time unknown
    Possible pip sighted in an egg: May 9, 8:56 a.m.
    First hatchling: May 9, 12:47 p.m.
    Second hatchling: May 9, 8:30 p.m. (appx.)
    Third hatchling: May 10, 10:10 a.m. (appx.)
    Fourth hatchling: May 12, 10:30 a.m. (appx.)

    Do you know what type of prey Falcon brought to nest and then fed the baby hatchlings?

      Nick, so far the falcon has returned with songbirds, primarily. The last identifiable meal was a mourning dove.
