  • Hi I am a farrier from the uk and I upload horse shoeing and shoe making videos. The uploads are just every day horses I come across.
    Today I am shoeing hue he is a big horse at 942Kg. He is a horse I have been shoeing for a good few years now. I have put on some front shoes on with no clips but with a slight roll on the toe, this is to help with a few arthritic problems he has had and keep his toes back. He is a really good horse but he can pull a bit when being shod making me work hard for the finished product.
    If you are new here I would really appreciate a like and a subscribe it is free and really helps out the channel. Hope you enjoy and have a awesome day.🤙

    Hugh reminds me of the hunter I cared for in the mid '70's - Sam. Neville Smith was our farrier. (West Midlands.)

    I like the hoof gouge you use that you don't have to hit with a hammer.
    And it goes back into your pocket after each side of the hoof.

    Hugh is one big boy and he gives you a work out! Just imagine if he didn't like you! He could boot you out of the barn all the way to the south 40 if he wanted to! Just like flicking a fly off of him. LOL. Is he a working horse?

    Like the work you are doing with this big boy, is a he a rescue? The one side with the huge scar looks like it healed nicely and the scaring on his legs too! I'd like to see him again!

    Just a question, why were his toes so far off the shoe?

    • @Peterthefarrier
      @Peterthefarrier  2 роки тому +1

      It was a request from the vet at the time his toes are pulled back as far as possible due to arthritic problems hope this answers your question.

      Right, but you do make time for the Chiropractor, so your spine doesn't get stuck in that crazy position that's required to be a farrier. 👍🐎🇺🇸

    Don't feed the horse when you shoe it. Then it will stand still. ) And don't feed and put to work the background man. He is too fat. )))
