You made it look so easy. These build videos really help to show what can be done to a poor sounding & running locomotive. Keep them coming. Gives one the confidence to take on the swap.
As always great installation tips especially for soldering the resistors on to the wire. Thanks for not skipping any steps along the way. It's so helpful. Really like the flexibility of the Blunami decorder to rename everything to what's easy to remember.
GREAT !! I have a BN BLI like this that had always a problem when approaching speed step 30, it starts to jerk !! And what in tarnation is that sound file they used ?? More suited for a electric loco I think. It is a great looking model, but that is all. I had planned on doing this for awhile & now with the Blunami technology, I'm intrigued to do it this way. I have 3 Loksound V5 locos that have this same problem. One Rapido & two Walther's Mainline. Get to speed step 20 & starts jerking. The lights & sounds work as they should so it's not a power pickup problem. Took a 21 pin Tsunami2 & put it in one of the Walther's that was bad & it ran great. So it looks like you could just leave the speakers in parallel then. Great video !! Thanks
Thanks for the feedback! We are glad that you are enjoying your Tsunami2, Blunami has the same great features with the ease of operating the way you want!
I agree with you George, I have one of those awful sound GE of Broadway Limited, in NdeM livery. For sure I will do it your way and put a Blunami BLU-PNP8
Blunami circuit board is worth putting into the locomotive n it sounds a lot better than the one that was installed before cause upgrading makes locomotive's better n worth buying for yourself for Ho train layouts DCC n Sound technology is entertaining for friends , family the kids n grandkids
N-Scale is further down the road. The current Bluetooth chip is too big for an N scale decoder. The BLU-21PNEM8 is currently the smallest Blunami decoder.
I have another BLI locomotive, a Baldwin Centipede, also in NdeM Livery. I guess will be the same procedure, Which Blunami Decoder for this? Yo did not mention the "Current Keeper". I believe I saw a capacitor, maybe for this purpose in the original decoder. I Think I will not buy another BLI loco.

This is the technology I've been looking for for a long time until it came out around the year 2,000
:)
Brave guy, wielding a hot iron with solder on it near the plastic shell.
Got to be careful!
Thanks, George. I appreciate the heads up on an installation, I have two for a customer to do.
Hope it goes well!
